Studio versions of songs undergo a long series of surgery treatments to make them fit to the industry standard; you might consider this as the actual version

In the studio versions he hits a lot of really really hard notes range-wise, so I’m assuming it’s a mix of having to compromise the original song with projecting and maintaining a strong voice for the whole concert.
