I feel so sorry for his daughter, she had to suffer for her father’s rash vow. Being single and celibate is awful and a life of lack without a husband, sex, a home, and children (basically missing out on everything that makes life enjoyable and meaningful.).It is freedom and it is suffering. I wish God would give me a different “gift” or send me home early.

I wasn’t able to watch the studies for a minute, but I’m back and I just feel SO refreshed reading and studying the Bible with you again. You truly have a gift, Kanoe. I just love what you do. It makes me want to come back everyday, and I usually am the kind of person that’s very passionate and dedicated to something for a bit but then become distracted and forget. But I feel like you make it so easy and even exciting to read the Bible from cover to cover, one day at the time. God is great and I just pray He will give you the strength, motivation and joy to keep doing what you do. It’s a blessing to SO many ❤

Heart Dive 1 : Pit to Purpose I am crawling out of the pit. I have begun seeking Jesus through his word, and praying for the holy spirit to enter me and my life. I have asked God to lead me to turn my will and my life completely over to Him. My past is dark, I have broken every commandment there is. I have adultery, and hate, and bitterness in my heart. It finds me the moment I sit. It finds me as I work. It finds me in motion. It finds me anywhere, the enemy. But I will seek His Truth, and I will pray for these things to be taken from me. And I will pray that my purpose is illuminated to me, and that my pride not hinder my joy in that purpose. And have faith it is enough. Honoring commitments As far as reading the Word, I am certainly behind. I slip and fall, but i Pick it back up again to keep moving forward in it. Days pass when my prayer life dwindles but I pick it back up again. As far as other commitments, I am eager to make them, but God has yet to deem.me ready.

The scripture says you will know them by their fruit. Even as the worst sinner, which we all once were, it is grace that saves us, but that sanctification is the working power to renew us. So just in regards to your political reference, it is the fruit that must show that we are truly in Christ. And I too, was one of the “chief sinners”, but God!!!!

NKJV says Judges 9:31 'shalt surely be the Lord's and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.' This reads like Jephthah's daughter was offered up as a burnt sacrifice. V. 40 says daughters of Israel go 4 days each year to lament the daughter of Jephthah implying that the daughter was no longer living.
