The rubber can come off. And the are holes that the rubber covers. Maybe that's what you're talking about? I haven't looked into spikes much.

We are loving the tripod! Really not a bad price for it either! I (Jon) am like 6'4 and i can get it pretty much on eye level. I kind have to pull in the legs to get more height, but it does the trick. Here's some the specs: Load Capacity 18 lbs. Maximum Height 64"; Minimum Height 28"; Folded Length 34"; Weight 10.3 lbs. : )

Great news! I've read the specs, but sometimes they can be a bit deceiving. Do the rubber feet come off or retract for spikes? If not, is there any sort of threaded tap at the feet area where one could insert replacement spike feet? Hoping to use these legs as a solution for my Manfrotto 500AH head w/ a 75mm adapter. Thanks!

How are you liking the tripod? I see that it gets nice and low. Does it get up to eye level? It seems like most tripods are often too short.
