Day 1:
Early morning: Start your day with a visit to the Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, which is the holiest Sikh gurdwara. The temple is open 24 hours a day, and you can join in the community kitchen (Langar) where food is served to thousands of people every day.
10:00 AM: Visit the Jallianwala Bagh, a public garden that is the site of a notorious massacre that took place in 1919 during the British Raj. The garden has a memorial and a museum that commemorate the victims of the tragedy.
12:00 PM: Have lunch at one of the many local restaurants in Amritsar that serve traditional Punjabi food.
