My baby eating her first meal ever! Green beans. This is part one.

I started with cereal, then added bananas, then added peas. I always mixed cereal, fruit and veggie. Cereal and bananas are great because they make the poop a little more formed. The peas kept the poop from getting too hard. When they got older they ate veggies and salads with no problem and still do.

I don't know how much clearer this sweet little baby can say she doesn't like this experience at all! Hand out, leaning as far away as she can, the look of terror on her face and crying. Try sweet potatoes that are lightly sweetened (add formula to make it creamy). If you make the first time with solid food a good and YUMMY experience, they will be more willing to try other things. One other thing, sit down and feed her at HER level, in front of her (less scary that way). Cotton washcloths in hot water with light bleach is a much more efficient way to wipe down the highchair, before and after.

I agree with veggies. If u start them on sweet fruit. That's what they will want. The sweetness and be discouraged from veggies. Cereal first.. Then veggies.. Then slowly add fruit with veggies. Then make your own lunches and dinner with baby bullet. Very easy. We all make mistakes. We don't need to yell or be mean. Next you will find out very quick.. That cute little pink bib will be destroyed in under 2 minutes.bget the big plastic ones that have pockets on the bottom. Or buy the disposable if ur fortunate enough too. And please while feeding.. You must sit down. Get yourself some toast or cereal. Show baby.. Yummy mommy's eating.. Now baby's turn... You show her you like her food. Taste her food. She will always want what mommy's has.. You will catch on. Sorry some comments were rough. I'm a mother of 4 and 6 grandchildren. And worked in infant room for many many years. Offering advice. No lecture of putting you down. We all have to start somewhere..best wishes to you and your little one.....

People...I’d love to your missteps raising your children but I believe that people this cruel would never open themselves up to ridicule. Mom...babies enjoy food that is eaten by everyone at dinner so to sit with baby and maybe begin with a handful of frozen peas on her tray because that cool sensation feels good on her gums and they’re pretty tasty. Never give the fruit option until she’s really into the veggies and meat or meat replacement options. After fruit, it’s all over! Yummy!

Baby isn’t hungry. She would be opening her mouth if she was. You don’t give the baby the spoon it’s to eat with not play with. I think when they're being weaned I think baby should have the best or at least a decent experience eating solids for the first time. Maybe it would help if you thought about what you would like to eat if you were her, I think most of us started out with rice cereal and then kind of worked our way up. You'll figure it out.

That is exactly what I thought, and I am a great grandmother. Babies should start out with rice cereal, then applesauce on the side the following week. Don't be in a hurry to try all kinds of foods. Because if the baby is allergic you won't know which food item it was.

It is every 2 to 3 days you can switch foods. And there is no scientific evidence that babies should have rice as a first food. We just started my 4 month old last month, on baby food as directed by her pediatrician, and we started with rice and carrots. I started my two older boys on rice and a veggie as well. Due to starting with a sweet fruit babies tend to not like the other more bitter foods. There is also nothing wrong with continuing to feed something baby is not to fund of. We started green beans last nighr and she was not to into them. But we will try again tonight and tomorrow. They will either grow to like it or really just want nothing to do with it. This mother is doing just fine!

First of all she is a beautiful Little girl God bless her now and always. I don't believe it's her mommy or Grandmother. Look at the room I believe it's a Day Care Center. The room is to open And the sign has Green beans on it. Something just doesn't Look right!!!!! Then when she asked for a spoon the other woman said are the washed yet. Now it seems to me that. Ring a mom you would have the spoons washed. She is not being forced fed. The doctor will tell you to give her at least 10 spoonfuls first just to make sure the baby doesn't like it. Yes she does look scared and that's why I don't think it's her mom or anyone related to her. What would make you believe it was an adopted mother???

@Reagan Kole Thank you for the support. Look to France where there is almost no obesity and they start kids off eating veggies first. It has worked actually. She's now a toddler and eats her veggies with joy. I have the videos to prove it.

Starting off with sweets completely stalls the tastes buds... my kids hates the peaches, apple sauce etc..they wanted the greens and meets... but yes, in this video the baby had enough of trying and mom opted going..but you should always try veggies first.

That's just a generalization... all 3 if my boys preferred the meat and veggies....yes, that was unusual but I didnt want to assume that since fruits are sweet they should just like it. I started with squash mixed with very little peach...and would add less and less peach and so on.... they were able to understand the flavors of veggies first. My boys are 14, 13 and 9 and they all are excellent eaters. They love raw veggies even broccoli, brussel sprouts, spinach etc ...but it was a battle with my youngest because I started him on the sweet stuff...only because he had allergic reactions during his newborn days... BUT I would never keep forcing it like she did in the video...that was ridiculous.

She was just shy of 6 months. She's a chubby baby and was entirely breast fed up to this point. She was just very able to hold things and sturdy. She's doing great now. Eats anything and everything. Smart as a whip. Watch some of the toddler videos and you'll see.

And it is every 2 to 3 days that the food can be changed. We just started our daughter last month at 4 months old on baby food for breakfadt and dinner, as suggested by her pediatrician. Due to her being a larger baby we were able to start younger. With all tgree of my children i did rice with a veggie for first foods. To each their own. But dont put her down when you know nothing about her. Maybe she has a disability, anything could be it. I know reading these comments if i were her were discourage and upset me so much. Have respect for our fellow moms. Offer adcice and help. Not hatred and unkind words. No wounder this world is so f'ed up! And no one gets along.keep up the hard work lady. I've just ignored them because it's not worth it to respond but seriously who could say so many negative things about a baby? My daughter is now two and she eats everything. She's a great eater and a skinny kid. She was a chubby baby (all from breastmilk) and by feeding her a healthy variety of veggies she has become a very healthy eater and willing to try all foods. Anyway, it's been very odd to read all this stuff but given me a lot of insight into how crazy people act on the internet.

Thank you! I was trying to feed her veggies to start because that's the way the French do it. Who the heck believes rice cereal is the real way to start? The rice cereal people tell you that and it's totally not true. Baby is doing great. She's a toddler now and eats everything. Watch some of the other videos and you can see.
