Day 1 - CAMINO INGLES (Ferrol to Pontedueme)

Day 1 - CAMINO INGLES
The one with the wonderful church, a horny pig and wet knickers!
📌 LOCATION: Ferrol to Pontedeume
🥾 MILES: Just under 22 (although when I do this with my group next year the first da is 13 miles).
☀️ WEATHER: It was warm (around 18 degrees) but drizzle and rain all day.
⛑️ HEALTH: All good. No moans or groans yet!
🥘 FOOD: Not the best. Toast for breakfast, two snickers, a Twix, a meat pastry thing (gross), churros with chocolate,
💰 MONEY: €5 bed, €11 food.
SUMMARY:
A wet day full of wonderful scenery, randy pigs, beautiful church sermons, churros and cold meat pie! We’ve laughed a lot, got wet and we have a wonderful hostel for €5!! 22 miles…. What a day.

Love following your camino journeys Julia, I'm watching with interest because I hope to do the ingles next Oct! Can I ask what brand t-shirt your friend is wearing - the navy blue one with the pale blue stripes. I like that it short sleeved but almost elbow length. It's just what I need because my bag straps chaf! Lol!

Please can you tell me if you got the bus from airport or had to get bus /train from bus station in Santiago to Ferrol please , travelling in May and unsure how to get to Ferrol
