A good reminder to always listen to God's calling! Glad to have found another like minded lady on YT. I am just starting a food forest. I don't necessarily consider myself a gardener. I've been preparedness minded for about 10 years, and have a pretty deep pantry. I'm trying to source more fruit, vegis, and meat locally. I'm excited to have found you because you have new information for me! To anyone new to preparedness- start where you are and make a small goal for yourself. Blessings and prayers to you and your commity!

@@theaeroponictowerchannel I left a comment with my number that I was then going to go back and delete and I can't find it now. But I am trying to find someone or a couple or someone with a baby that needs housing for about 5 months. I contacted your pastor (bc you left that church link) but I haven't heard from him. Can you contact him and get my phone number from him so I can get help finding a good match to help someone in this way, maybe someone at the shelter or someone needing a place for winter time. We would love to help in this way and we have done this before, so not totally new for us. I emailed your pastor (and gave him my number) and called the church and left my number. Thank you.

@@theaeroponictowerchannel it’s definitely going to be on us! I’m in an apartment but we prepare the best we can. I did garden beds in my driveway last year (no yard). I loved it but I spent way too much and didn’t get a very good harvest. (I’m good at basil and cherry tomatoes that’s about it 😂). We skipped trying this year to focus on financial preparation but you’ve inspired me to try other ways! I love that you seem to have a very rational and mindful approach to the fact that not everyone has access to land or a lot of $. ❤️ we’re still praying for you all every day!

I grew up with parents who were children during the Depression. We always had a large garden. My Mom canned and froze our food. We raised chickens and pigs. We went to a local store that was in existence for 100 years. Small General store, and we didn’t buy large amounts. You have inspired me to go back to my roots and grow my own food. Very interested in the towers. Thank You.
@terryhenderson424
@terryhenderson424 Ай бұрын
As you prepate to grow your own food, look for recipes and copy cat recipies for the goods you are buying at the grocery store then make your own. Especially those that are basically dry goods mixes like starches with a seasoning packet included, sauce and flavoring packets, baking mixes, etc... I prefer to make single batches (in the amounts I make) in thier own containers rather than a big bucket of mix. I make 6 at the same time; not sure why 6 but it works. You don't have to worry about individusl ingredients sifting or filtering down through the mix. Also, you get the grab-n-go convience of the box, bag, or packet. - This is probably healthier but in today's inflationary times it is also upto much cheaper.

I do Dosaster Response and Recovery and they do this everywhere not just NC but if you research videos here on YT as to why NC is one of the worst states to live in you’ll maybe think differently! I’m moving after being here not even 6 years and I loved where I was living before and it’s bee.n horrific here! The governor sucks, people are so back woodsy and paranoid if they don’t know you and the native Americans hate any light skinned or light haired people and discriminate profusely! Taxes are high, weather is horrible and rains too much and there’s crops getting sprayed so our blackberries withered up and eventually quit growing then Tomatoes and other food then flowers then the peach tree etc. Maybe I don’t have a green thumb but my mom did and all the plants in her garden started withering away more each year so they’re spraying this area of WNC!

Thanks for sharing the basics of your food system! I’m from NE FL and have been gardening in a large organic, permaculture garden for the last 14 years. Loved gardening as a child and helped my grandparents and parents with vegetable gardens. As a child we had about a half acre garden that I helped to plant, water, & weed in West Texas. Despite the rough climate things grew easily and without added fertilizer except the composted manure we mixed in in the early spring. My early years of gardening in FL were quite successful and things grew easily with only minimal intervention for weed & pest control. However, despite the fact that I am continually working on the conditioning of my soil using organic methods & diversity in planting it is getting more difficult to keep plants healthy. The good insects are disappearing and certain bad ones are more difficult to control, plant diseases among my fruit trees, perennials, & herbs & veggies are rampant, rainfall is getting less consistent- it’s either dry for a long period or raining way too mu ch in a short time and after it rains new dead spots on leaves quickly appear after a rain as if there was something burning the leaves (like bleach or vinegar) in some of the rain?! I’m beginning to get discouraged and wondering if a more controlled environment will be necessary to transition to for some of our family’s needs. I’m interested in learning more about the systems you are using and what they require. BTW Perma Pastures Farm has lots of good ideas on sequestering the toxins in your soil to help repair it for future use (Billy is in Asheville, NC area). I did find your channel because I was looking for information on what was happening in NC & East TN where we have some family and friends and I’m glad I did! Looking forward to learning more! My thoughts and prayers are with the good people of NC & TN who have suffered so greatly!
