Day 10. Snazzy on Trail Continental Divide Trail 2024 Lordsburg to Silver City,NM. Town Day!!

Hey my name is Snazzy, I earned that trail name on my first long trail the PCT in 2019 since then I completed the AT in 2021 and now am going for the triple crown on the CDT this year in 2024. Thanks for following along on my way from Mexico to Canada

You got an honorable mention in Energizer's Vlog yesterday. So I was interested enough to take a look at your Day 10 Vlog. I certainly hope that your feet recover soon. I certainly would suggest that you take a couple of Zeros and soak your feet in the Gila Hot Springs near Doc Campbells. FYI: I have hiked the CDT myself from Crazy Cook to (almost) Doc Campbells, and since I am a New Mexico resident, I normally pass that "10mi to Silver City" sign at least once a week, if not oftener. Love the pre-rinse. In NM if you're out in the elements for long, you will be caked in grit. I wear contact lenses and that grit used to get under them even with sunglasses on. So painful.

Just found your vlog. Great coverage I really like the info bits , cost of staying at SC v Doc Campbells. With the Stonehouse Inn closing, so when did they stop and what was your start date, keep on hiking, look after those feet!

Thanks for following along!! Yeah stone house closed just a few days before I got there and not sure of the reasoning but only hotel options in SC after that. Docs is only $13 to camp across the street so a cheap place to zero if needed. Working I. Started May 7. Still working on the feet they are in rough shape

Yeah they are. Ive taken a day here and there but seems more blisters pop up every time I leave town with the weight of my pack with all the food in it. Just gotta push through

@nobostone7193 I'm pulling for you Snazzy! I got blisters when I first started walking, but never again. I have to do all my walking on concrete/pavement. I don't even know how hiking shoes and that's terrain would affect me. I hope to find out someday before I'm too old. Thanks for the great videos!
