Day 11 Speed Decluttering (my Mum's home) before Christmas

Hey everyone! In today's video i'm actually at my Mum's house - tackling an area in her utility room. As Christmas approaches, I know the extra stuff coming into the house can be overwhelming, so I'm starting another decluttering journey to regain control and peace in my home (and my mum's!)
I'm committing to decluttering for at least 15 minutes every single day, and I'll be documenting this journey on my KZbin channel with daily videos. It's going to be a mix of short and long videos, where I share the ups and downs of decluttering, being a working mum, and navigating family life.

That's alot of stuff! Bins to hold all the like things, hair, skin, cleaning, would be so helpful. Would also save your Mom from getting down to look for things. Love that you're doing this for her!

Wow she has got a lot of stuff it’s overwhelming her, I’ve cut down on some much stuff as well due to illness so this will be great for her❤

Yes, the whole house is like that, it's clean and tidy but every cupboard is stuffed and it's a lot to manage

Your mum was so good at letting things go and you were so patient with her 😊. I regularly chuck out a bin bag of long forgotten products from the kitchen and bathroom cupboards - Its scary how much we accumulate over time . Sending you both best wishes for a very happy uncluttered Christmas 🎄 xx

Ah thank you. I don't think we'll be uncluttered by Christmas but hopefully we'll be well on our way to an uncluttered Christmas next year! My mum was definitely ready for a clear out, she just struggles very much to find the time and to physically do it. We'll get her there in time ☺️

Oh this was great to see you guys working together on this. You are doing amazing!! I have been decluttering every day in the month of December and when I started I thought I couldnt do it every day and that there wouldnt be much. Wrong on both accounts LOL Now I cant wait to get started the next day to see what else I can declutter LOL Thanks for sharing!

I'd love to do that! My mum loved a couple of hours drive away from me so sadly we don't get to see her as much as we want to 😔

I think it's wonderful you helped declutter and organize your mother's cabinet. You've made space for some of the items on the countertop. She seemed so pleased. What's the next space? lol I'm sure you have so much time before Christmas! Great video. Take care, Linda 🦋

Yes I think she was surprised about what we could do in the time! I'd like to tackle some of the kitchen but I've tasked her with thinking about which spaces would help her most 👍

@natrobb It's nice that you asked her for the next spot. I've helped my mother with several rooms, and she's so grateful. We live 700 miles apart, so I only get to see her once or twice a year. You're blessed to have your mother so close. 🦋
