Jesus was not separated from His father. They are one. Jesus felt God had left Him, but God could not leave Himself. He never forsook His Son ever.

When Jesus took on the sins of the world, the Father poured His wrath upon Jesus, and therefore He FELT as though the Father had turned his back on Him (because that’s what the Bible indicates He does when it refers to the “cup” of wrath- the very cup that Jesus asked to be taken from Him). This is the very reason why Jesus cried out, “Father, why have you forsaken me.” We know the Father never did forsake Jesus. But we also have to remember that Jesus was fully human at this point with human emotions.

I was looking into the words steadfast love. I was looking at the definition and also discovered that steadfast love appears in the Old Testament 196 times and of those 127 are in Psalm alone. I found this interesting especially knowing repetition is worth noting.
