It's a beautiful hotel. The people who get upset at your warm messages are not used to hearing nice words spoken so freely. They don't think they matter and they get upset that you are telling them they do. Often our first response to something new or different is anger. Good news is that they heard you. Maybe if they keep watching and keep hearing it they will start to understand. There is nothing wrong with saying you love people. Don't ever think twice about that! ❤

Our house burned less than a week before our first trip to Walt Disney World in 2001. The contractors and insurance people told us to go forward with our plans since there was nothing they needed from us yet. Since we now possessed only a couple changes of clothes, we were ecstatic to discover the washer-dryer combo in the Boardwalk Villa we had reserved. The memories we cherish most from that post-fire, still-in-shock trip was our DIsney accommodation, not the parks. (Our cranky kitchen designer rolled his eyes when I later asked him if he could emulate the Villa cabinets.) Thanks for providing this treasure trove of in-depth Disney Resort videos, Chris!

She (Dior) was diagnosed with some serious, & permanent, health issues in 2021. I know your messages have definitely helped, both of us, when things have gotten rough. Please never doubt that they & their positivity actually work! 😸 I realise it might be a bit late as you are nearly done with your crazy (but helpful) hotel tour, but I'd like to request a special shout-out if possible. Dior fell & broke her leg at the beginning of the month. It was serious enough to require surgery. I was hoping that you could maybe send her some get well wishes ? We were blessed by friends who took us with them on a trip that included a stay here. It was beautiful, and my husband, who has post-stroke mobility issues, did very well with an ECV. The food court chefs helped me get good dinners that excluded my food allergens. We would recommend this resort.

Hi Chris! Saratoga is a "full" DVC resort - meaning all the rooms are "villa" style for DVC members. Some of the other Deluxe resorts you've stayed at (like Grand Floridian) have both non- DVC "hotel" style rooms as well as DVC "villa" rooms. We love the 1 and 2 bedroom villas for the fact they come with full kitchens and washer/dryers. We've been absolutely loving your resort tours! 🙂

Chris may not know of remember this area started out as the Lake Buena Vista Golf Club. It then expanded and became the Disney Institute (which offered a variety of classes from rock climbing to Imagineering). It then really expanded to the Saratoga Springs Resort. The treehouse villas go way back to the late 1970’s, some to about 1970. Why? To become and establish “city” of Lake Buena Vista, and having the Reedy Creek Improvement District they needed residents, who were some Disney project managers assigned to building WDW.

This is the first time I am writing. I am going to miss Amanda and Miles, but more for you Chris. I can tell you totally LOVE your family very much. I’ve loved your series on Disney World. I live in California and I’m 73 years old. My family including cousins, aunts, uncles would go to Disneyland 2 times a year. We are DVC members and we have stayed at Saratoga Springs several times. Our home resort will always be Wilderness Lodge but Saratoga Springs is the place to be if you love Disney Springs.

Hi Chris! Saratoga Springs is named for Saratoga, NY known for horse racing. Thus all the horses -and winners circle statue- at this resort. Also, yes this is a DVC resort (my home resort)! I haven't finished watching this video, but SSR does have *Treehouse rooms!

Saratoga springs has an interesting history. Before the dvc buildings were built the main area was called something else (maybe disney institute?) and they had classes-art and other things I can't remember. That is why the food court is called Artists palate. This was in the late 90s. I don't think it was that way for very long.
