Hello Beach Chick. You're a beautiful young lady, your teeth look great. I'm 62 years young. Ii am at the pre-extractions stage. Dentist phobia kept me away for DECADES! I'm going to do this! Your videos are great. The thing about beating fear is knowledge. I just want you to know that your videos are helping. The more I learn about all of this the better I feel. I just want to thank you. I'm having my extractions done on the 4th of November, and my husband is having his on the 11th. We're sitting here watching your videos together and LOVING them. After your pain lecture, "don't look at me like that," we both said - "I LOVE her!" So, yeah... there's a husband and wife in Michigan who just think you're the bomb ;) Thanks so much for these videos... they're making us much less fearful and we both feel so much more prepared and informed! Carolyne I just love you! You always managed to crack me up! You totally have the best personality for doing what you do! I am on day six and not using any adhesive yet. I know I need to be but I'm not ready yet. I feel like everything is still way to open I have purchased the secure denture adhesive and I am waiting to use that. I know it is highly recommended I pray you are still doing so well and still smiling that beautiful smile! I don't know if I would have had the guts to finally go through this without you. You have helped me so much and you are just so positive

Beach Chick, One more thing . I am 7 weeks post extractions and still unable to eat. I have not tried any adhesives yet as I was afraid to use them until my gums healed a little more. I think I will take your tips and advise. I will try the adhesives and try to eat for the first time with my dentures. Thank you for making this video, I would not have had the courage or guidance without your video. I can't wait to eat out in public again.

Day 16 here and I am still not able to eat solid foods. I haven't tried any adhesives yet because my gums are still healing and I don't want to reopen the incisions. You sound great; I sound like a drunk, slurring my words. I'm practicing in the mirror singing the ABC's song. I watched so many videos prior to E-Day; however, nothing can prepare you for losing all of your teeth! I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the healing, but it's difficult. Some days are worse than others. I have a question for you : what's the best product to soak them in at night? I will have to wear my immediate dentures for 11.5 months due to being a slow healer; and I want to find the best stain fighting product for soaking them in at night. Thanks for the videos. They give me hope!

I learned the hard way, used the ribbon method yesterday. Was my first day using adhesive and couldn't get my uppers off!! It was actually scary but finally got them off.

Thank you so much for everyone of your videos, I am at day 13, I have upper dentures and they are causing such painful sores on my gums. I am so hungry and can't eat anything that I have to chew. Today I used orajel on my gums so I could put my teeth in without crying. I love my ninja, but am so tired of drinking every meal

It is sunday, mothers day, today, friday, i had 19 teeth pulled and I have had horrible time. I was screaming out taking the denture out to rinse them yesterday and realized i won't take them out again . I was not able to control the pain with the 5 mg pill i got, on monday i will tell the doctor its not working. I hated life yesterday. i feel better today. your videos are the best online by far thank you also, was your throat sore?? mine hurts like heck.

Sadly I cant take anything for pain (the good stuff) because I will literally die :( I have an opiate allergy...sooooo Im stuck to motrin type meds. Im having the top denture, and they are taking 2 bottom back teeth. And i have a filling my wisdom teeth too... LORD ITS GONNA HURT...im ready for monday to get here and be over with, but im not looking forward to the rest!! I love your videos, you remind me of myself!!! You look and sound great!!!

Hi Joy Litteral the pain meds are mostly to take care of the tissue swelling pressing against the denture, the extraction sites didn't hurt me at all! Best of luck dear!

Hey Beach Chick, Thank you for this awesome video , you are so helpful and inspiring and funny at the same time! I have 2 Questions ***********1). I am 7 weeks post extractions. I still can not talk very well yet. Can you give me some tips to help me talk better? I never even knew talking would be a problem. 2). I am still unable to eat with my dentures in. Is there any tips or advice you can give me? I try to eat Yougurt and I start gagging and choking. I'm thinking it takes time but it has been 7 weeks since my extractions. Thank you Beach girl your videos have helped me more than you realize!!! PS Virginia Beach is my most Favorite Beach in the world, I live in Ohio. I used to travel there twice a year, every year. The past 5 years I haven't been there due to dental problems, abcesss teeth, just sad! Now that I have my pretty new Smile and my immediate Dentures I plan to resume my fav beach destination. Unfortunately i cant take pain meds with nsaid like ibprofin due to my crohnes and ulcer so wasn't prescribed anything from doc but amoxicillin. Im on day 6 today and had to go back and see dentisy because of such bad sore spots from the top denture rubbing and just stabbing into my gum so my mouth is still so sore

I told my brother and four family members how it will feel when I eat. I was so depressed the last two christmas years. Well, I know it will take 3-4 weeks. I have a hard time with dentures! (I have had them less than 10 days). 3 foods that are a struggle: Pizza, Cookies and anything with noodles. Hawaiian Punch and pudding has not got stuck in between! I will see after three to four weeks! I am glad the pain is gone, but eating still an issue. Nuff said,!

I'm 13 days after 12 extractions (all in the front). When I use adhesive and put my dentures in, my tongue gets SO sore on the left back. Remedy? I'm having a lot of pain still and I cannot take NSAIDS, because I have a blood disorder. I have pain meds, but it's not bad enough to take meds, just hurting whenever they're in..... especially the lower denture. I think I have bone splinters working out as well. Very painful.

hi day 8 feeling good my advice to all pain suffers get a electric nail file was in so much pain day 2 sores all over top of gums got the nail file...filed down the hot spots feeling great eating solid foods using adhesive even went to the dentist for a minor adjustment go slow and keep trying on your dentures you should be good PEACE

I had 24 teeth extracted and immediate Dentures put in about two weeks ago. My directions for my pain meds were take as needed. I never needed them and didn't take them. I am healing nicely according to the Dentist. I think it all depends on the person.
