Mettā can definitely feel tricky at first, but you’re not alone in this. The key is to relax any effort or striving-don’t worry about finding the ‘perfect’ feeling or memory. Even a small spark of warmth or kindness is enough to build on. What’s most important is gently generating the feeling, relaxing tension, and returning to it with a light heart.
