Sayonara is a type of goodbye when you don see someone for a VERY long time, jaane is another

Its nice to have the sentences as well so you can pick up more words and sentence structure

Sayonara iirc is only used if you are not seeing the person for a long time, as in years - so not really every day usage

Yeah, that's right. It's a bit formal and you use it for a person that will travel or you cannot see for a long time
