Akha people are miao / hmong or mien and Yao. I am Hmong USA but I still understand 20 percent what they say in here.

And why is that? Because the Chinese government does not allow carpet bagging missionaries to divide them for profit. The missionaries are very destructive to the unity of the Akha.

Akha people are hani people and they speak almost the same language and have a common ethnic name "haqniq" or “hhaqniq" so don't say that the akha are hmong or miao .

Akha People have no connection to Hmong or Miao. In some cases Mien people brought an Akha into their community by marriage. That is all. There is no linguistic relationship either.
