@@Girlmom4 Everyone has the right to a fair trial & without an adequate defence attorney this monster would have grounds to appeal/overturn her conviction. I believe her attorneys know she’s going to prison for a very very long time (there’s video evidence- it’s a pretty open & shut case); the attorney needs to do her job to ensure she stays in prison. But I agree it can be difficult to watch especially the defence attorneys who yell & badger witnesses.

Why are being so hard on the defense attys ? Better yet, you would rather that our constitution would not be in place, right ? You do remember that a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty, right ? Look, I dont think that what the young girl did was right. Absolutely not. She could have left the baby at the nearest fire station, at the hospital, etc. Only she knows what she was thinking at the time. Im pretty sure that she has some remorse for what she did but that doesnt change the fact that she dumped her baby in a dumpster for dead.
@SgtFuckOff
@SgtFuckOff Жыл бұрын
@@Jp-ml8dm she has no remorse. In her own words, Avila told police she wasn’t worried about “money, taking care of a baby, family support”, all of the things that might drive someone to do this but she just didn’t want a baby. I agree that everyone deserves the right to a fair trial and defense. When a person is truly innocent they need a defense team to refute bad evidence and make sure their client does get railroaded. But when a defense lawyer puts on practically no case and goes to picking out typos in medical records or just trying to discredit credible witness just to get your client off when you know they did it, then I think you’re a scumbag. There are times when defense lawyers are defending actual guilty people and their job is to get them off. I don’t know how they live with themselves letting a guilty person walk free if they win. Justice is supposed to be fair, not winning through loopholes, hiding evidence that makes your client look like the perpetrators they are actually and just getting a win. That’s not justice that’s slimy.

I am SO thankful those dumpster divers were at the right place at the right time. I've seen a recent pic & its a miracle that he is a healthy 2yr old w an adorable head of dark hair. Praying for a wonderful life for this boy w his father & I pray the so called "mother" is never allowed ANY contact w him. During her interview when she kept excusing her actions by saying she 'was in a panic & she'd just turned 18" w a stupid grin/laugh. Then she had the NERVE to say about the baby "if IT'S ok, then I want IT". SMDH

I heard on Court TV her lawyer was going to use Bi-Polar as a "mental defense"? WHAT? Bi-Polar is a Life-Long combination of Medications and PSYCHO-THERAPY; REQUIRES a MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS! QUESTION; Did her lawyer have her TESTED for what mental illness? Bi-Polar is High Energy, reduce need for sleep, LOSS Touch with REALITY; combinations of Genetics, Environment, Altered Brain Structure and Chemistry! I just watched Sally Jessy Raphael youtube; Tormented Teens Confront Their BULLIES (1997). That was "B E F O R E" computer BULLING and Cell Phone BULLING. All those youtube videos from (1990's) Sally Jessy Raphael and Donahue Shows about Teens getting pregnant on Purpose, group of Jr. & High School girls getting pregnant all at same time and delivering the babies at the same time for a "RECORD"? Girls Gym Class babies thrown in garbage cans. BULLING kids all ages; just for the FUN of it and many of those kids were thinking of suicide! ! I WONDERED, WHEN all these Psychiatry/Psychologists/and Mind Altering DRUGS, was started on TEENS FOLLOWING OTHER TEENS BEHAVING BADLY? Teenage girls stating: Pregnancies are a "Fashion Trend" at schools across the U.S.! I feel the STREET drugs had to do with TEEN behaviors. 1950's how was mental illness treated? LOBOTOMIES and ELECTROCONVULSIVE (electrical Shock treatments) Therapy. 1960's & 1970's how was mental illness treated? Medical community was full of Anti-Psychiatry Attitude, BLAMING Psychiatry for being Repressive, coercive, MORE Damaging then help to patients. . .1970's Refine specificity, Existing treatments. . .DEINSTITUTIONALIZATION. 1990's Normal Teen Behavior; Mental Health Issues; 26% felt close to a nervous break down; 7% experienced mental health problems. Many types of mental health "disorders" emerged during Adolescence! Late 1980's to date; the Schools around my area "LABELED" kids they didn't like, kids they didn't want to teach/ignored as ADHD and Bi-Polar. . .Kids NEVER seen a qualified "doctor"!

The baby was crying and moving, that’s how the baby was found in the first place! Can’t deny what’s literally on their own body cameras! It’s literally crying loud enough for the cameras to hear very clearly as soon as she walks up to them! And if the baby was cold and wiping its hands with a cold baby wipe was bringing its temperature down even more, would a WARM washcloth be common sense?! I’m not defending anyone here, but certain things she says just makes no sense. Like she’s not very bright. And the bruise on the baby is clearly from literally tossing that baby up high into the air to get it into the dumpster. Those 3 people didn’t hurt that baby. That was just a ridiculous thing to say.

I can't believe the number of times i have seen this case been mentioned and compared to Alexis Avilas one. Totally different, and nooe, she did not burn the baby, and it was acquitted cause they couldn't figure out the baby buried alive or dead. Also, the prosecution team was very unprofessional, and due to this, they made her give false statements that later were proven wrong, like her burning her baby when she did not.

Her name is Skylar Richardson and the baby was stillborn. She didn’t throw a living baby in a dumpster she buried her baby and made a little grave for her because she was already dead when she was born. You can watch her whole trial online.

Just look in the trash bag and find the itch that dumped her baby! She left her prescription box. Cop didn’t have to search for a partial tag to locate the car. My point is she left her thumbprint everywhere. Dr. Susan H was a wonderful witness for the state as well as the lady police officer. When lady police officer was cross examined and was asked why she took the baby, I was yelling out because she’s a woman and that baby needed a mother someone to love it just like April..😢 Everyone involved in this case saved baby boy! When lady police officer said she put him inside her gator to warm him up I cried. The defense attorney is doing her job and I like her even though she’s defending this monster. I’m still watching and had to stop and comment. The only thing I don’t like is calling him baby doe that sounds like he’s deceased to me. I hope baby boy does not have his egg donors last name! That’s all she is to me an egg donor. A vessel to carry him for 9 months. He was at a normal birth weight almost 7 pounds. Why couldn’t she love him? I believe the bruise on his forehead is when he fell onto the floor during delivery. Or he hit the back of the dumpster when she threw him. I noticed she tossed him pretty far up and then down. Like she was happy to do it. No hesitation whatsoever. Not turning around-not coming back for him. She looked friggin happy with her decision. She laughed during her interrogation. Asked if she could have him back..if he was ok! No itch he’s not okay he’s fighting for his life. Should strip her down wet her tie her up in an industrial size garbage bag and toss her in a dumpster! I’m so angry, can you tell?! I can’t have children this just infuriates me. Now there’s another 19 year old girl in NM facing murder charges for suffocating her newborn in a hospital trash can. The only difference here is her baby died and baby boy lived. He was minutes away from sudden death! Thank you to April and the other two dumpster divers. I hope they got recognition and some kind of an award for saving this baby boy. They’re testimony was heartbreaking and i could tell they were still traumatized. April said, I didn’t want to hand him over. 😢 She went into momma mode same as the lady cop which I’m sorry I forgot her name. She needs to be recognized as well. She was his guardian until he was transported to Lubbock. Someone had to be. Great job to all first responders‼️ ^The last two doctors were great on the stand. The last lady doctor is so qualified so professional I had to skip past her education lol. She came prepared I don’t think the defense liked her lol. Dr. Sharon N, “the baby was abandoned….” Great answer!

The female defense lawyer seems okay but I wouldn't want Connely defending me if I committed a crime. He doesn't seem compitent. All the states atterneys seem competent. The state has a big edge for me right now because of A, the atterneys presentation of the case and b the evidence. We know she tossed the baby in the trash, the footage proves that. We know she tied the bag and put other garbage in with her son. May be she didn't know and freeked out, that's about the only defense I've seen them try to give, that and he wasn't seriously hurt by what she did but neither one of those are working for me right now.
