Friday, July 12, 2024 - As we continue our journey to our next camp site up in the forest somewhere...We traveled through a lot of the burned areas from the Paradise fire a few years ago that burned the entire town. I was amazed that CA had so many trees and also does logging. I grew up in Bend, Oregon and would always see logging, but traveling back to CA through the Mt Shasta area, I'd never see any type of logging. I thought this was interesting. Also, I've travel through the back country of Mammoth, Bishop and Bridgeport area and you never see any type of logging there either.
If you like hunting for old mines, structures, cabins, driving on shelf roads or challenging trails, even getting lost or stuck and back tracking to find the correct trail to complete the run, you'll love our group. You can check us out on Facebook at Offroad Overland Camping, join, click on Events tab to see when our next trip is and come along.
