I'm surprised to see that the Fitbit won't send notifications for calls/texts when the phone is on silent. I have a Versa 2 with an iPhone and I am able to get my calls/texts on silent mode. Fitbit has a lot of settings to customize which notifications your watch receives and under which circumstances. The watch also has a "Do not disturb" mode that disables notifications. I'm fairly confident that Fitbit is able to receive notifications from calls/texts while the phone is in silent because it would be a significant regression if this is no longer a feature.

@@woofwoof2015 - Right. The "mute" function he chose is like a "Do not disturb". If you instead change your notification/ringer to "silent", then you should get notification on your watch.

Unfortunately, Fitbit rolls out new products with many bugs. But in my experience they correct these relatively quickly. So more enhancements to come.

@@AsianGeekSquad the only thing I am having a issue with is pandora. I pay for the premium package. An it gives me 2 choices of my favorites or pick from thier line of fit songs. Which I didn't mind since the other option wasn't working. I have tried to sync it 4 times now and it gets half way there and says it's been paused. Mind you my battery was plugged in to watch and phone.

You can pick up the phone call from the watch, but you cannot talk on the watch (like the Watch Active 2). If you have Bluetooth earpiece connected to the phone, if you accept the call, then the phone will pick up the call and you can chat via Bluetooth earpiece. Hopefully this makes sense (get it? nm, wrong gadget)... I'm planning to do a separate video with the different chat apps, etc.

I have followed all the instructions to enable my versa 3 to be able to reply when messages come in. But I'm unable to. The only options I have are "open" or "clear". I tap on the message and this is the only option that comes up. Microphone is enabled. Bluetooth is working. Do not disturb it's turned off and sleep mode is turned off. Phone is syncing just fine.

For the past 3 days I have been trying to get the texting feature to work on my versa 3! I have not been able to get it to work. The only option given is to open the message on my phone through my fitbit. I have an Android. Calling works great after I updated os to 8.0 oreo

@@dimpzperz9169 I actually figured this out! If you have android, make sure you are using android 8.0 software or higher (The most recent version is android 10.0). After that, you should be able to receive calls on your watch after you have set that option up within the fitbit app. After that is completed, if you are trying to text from your watch, you have to go to that feature in the fitbit app and choose which texting app you would wish to use. Most phones will use the default text message option but if you do not have a popular phone (Like me), you will need to download an app called MySMS and make that app your default texting app within your phone and then go into the fitbit app to chose MySMS as your texting app! It works perfectly fine for me and I'm allowed to use both texting and calling all through my watch!

I haven't beard anything good with fitness n the galaxy watch. Seems like they all have flaws bc they say galaxy isn't very accurate on steps. Ugh

Please make sure your Fitbit gets sync every 10 mins to check you need to check in Fitbit app. If it's not getting sync try your network

I can't verify, I think I had the AOD on the entire time I was using the review unit, but notifications should work independently of AOD, so I would say yes - it probably does.

The Versa 3/Sense is really becoming less attractive... all these little quirks. Every other smartwatch allows you to have your phone on mute but watch on loud. They better add phone call on speaker before end of year as well as Google Assistant. (And for Europe Google pay). Also not happy SPO2 is stuck on a single watch face. 🤦‍♀️ Only good thing so far is built in GPS and ECG available on launch.
