Yemen is often portrayed in the media as a country engulfed in conflict, humanitarian crises, and political instability. The narrative surrounding Yemen frequently highlights the devastating effects of the civil war that escalated in 2015, leading to one of the world’s worst humanitarian situations. Reports often focus on the staggering statistics of civilian casualties, the millions affected by famine, and the cholera outbreak, which has affected countless lives. The portrayal is often stark and dramatic, emphasizing the need for urgent international aid and intervention. While the media coverage sheds light on the suffering of the Yemeni people, it may also inadvertently contribute to a one-dimensional view of the country. Yemen is rich in history and culture, with a diverse heritage encompassing ancient civilizations, stunning architecture, and unique traditions. However, these aspects are often overshadowed by the narratives of war and desperation. In this video series, I want to focus on the stories of hope, resilience, and the everyday lives of Yemeni people amidst the chaos. These vlogs aim to give a more balanced portrayal that respects the humanity and agency of those living in Yemen rather than solely focusing on their suffering. Join me to explore the beauty of this incredible country, which has always been the center of civilizations, and see the day-to-day lives of the locals. Yes, at the current moment, Yemen is one of the poorest country in the world. since 1967, we had nothing but problems. Since the Brits left, we had in-fighting one another. I am talking about South Yemen formally known as South Arabia, we had wars, then, to add insult to injury, our deformed leaders went into unification with North Yemen and made it 100 times worse. We went back to the stone age. It's a pity we did not have wise people, we had nutters running the country. Those wise ones were removed by the so called regime at the time. Sad story for South Yemen since 1967.

In fact, they told you that the north is more dangerous and more expensive, but all this is lies from the government. In 2021, during the truce, Yemen became relatively stable, and Sana'a is considered the most developed region of Yemen. If you search more, you will see that the north is greener, more beautiful, and more historical. It is sad that you came to Yemen and did not visit the northern regions. Maybe next time you will come to Sana'a airport.
