No not really. Armor does what the name literally means. It provides you some protection against dmg from all mobs. Which means equipping armor will reduce mob dmg that you receive. Its best used with cactus and shell.

Well im a late commenter but i got supers on floof in the first day, just get carried in a wr(and got full omegas like the day after, about 2-3 hours of playtime in total)
