Just make sure you don’t choose an area that floods. I live in Katy and I haven’t had issues with flooding. The deeper out I-10 west you go the better. Fulshear is nice as well as Cypress. Happy blessed home search!🙏🥰

We started our house hunting 2 years ago but was just checking out the market. In addition various areas of the city were interested in living one day. We looked at different builders & reviews. Then wrote down things & prayed over it. In this process looked at resale vs new builds. Fast forward we didnt know God would bless us with a home with literally everything we prayed for. It’s something & beyond words but you just know when it’s your home. Everything was smooth & not terribly stressful. I honestly believe it’s because we didn’t rush this very important process. Have fun & Trust God !

Always try and view completely gut renovated homes or close to it, to cut back on renovating expenses off the bat and look at backyard sizes beforehand, also kitchen sizes as you’ll need a very nice large kitchen with a large island to accommodate your family.

I love the house #1. Many years ago, I lived in Katy for seven years, rolling Hills subdivision, Cypress Fairbanks school District. H town for the Ballers, DALLAS when you’re raising a family.Far North Dallas/ Plano suburban area when you raise a family. that’s just my opinion. That’s what I did. Girl house #2 is giving great vibes. You have to remember though the wall colors is great consider the fact that you have small children that are raised up very well but at the end of the day sometimes your walls will get a little dirty from handprints. I would leave them as is they look really nice. I think yall should consider this 1 for aure❤. Blessings

Coming from a person that lived in TX, I think the DFW area is more family oriented, houses are an awesome- the Irvington community is really nice. Austin is good for shopping and Houston is good for a quick vaca, but I don’t think living there for such a big family is going to be where you find your dream home. But by all means, do as you say and allow God to lead your steps, love the house hunting videos 😊

I hope y'all look into purchasing a boat too because Houston floods all the time really bad. My home is in Dallas but I have family in Houston and visit quite often. If rain fall for any significant amount of time, it's over! Your home, car, etc is under water.

Right I agree with you on this last house, first it should be pretty much empty so you can see what you working with and how much space you will have. The way they have their house is their swag, and even the backyard has too much study back there where as you can’t see the space for that even, so if I were in your shoes that would be a DEFINITELY NO for me !

My advice to you is that you continue to pray as you guys continue to hunt. Those houses didn’t really got me. Think I love the backyard for house #2. What I would suggest though is that you guys go for new houses that way you will not have to do much renovations. The truth is it can be extremely costly to buy a house for so much then have to spend to renovate. Happy house hunting and may God locate the best one that suits your family and pocket.
