Great Video! I have two Browning Citori's One with 28 and one with 26-inch barrels! I am going to try one-inch extended tubes in the 26-inch gun, giving me essentially a 27-inch gun this year! It's been pontificated in days of old, that the perfect length in a sporting gun was 27 inches! This was the accepted school of thought for many years! We now live in a world where super long tubes are the norm! We also have seen the advent of the newer types of shooting styles. Holding the side of the forearm, instead of the more traditional method of gripping the bottom of the forearm at the point where the shooter is the most comfortable, has given way to a shooting style invented most probably by a contortionist! The younger generation thinks that we have fallen behind the times and must adapt to the newer shooting styles of the day, until we pile up more birds than they do, with their longer tubes and trendy shooting styles! Some breath-taking scenery and hillsides there Dave, what a great venue to shoot! Quite a few of the crossing shots your gun was somewhat out of your face . Any advice?

I focus on the bird not the gun - especially distance shots - it is easy for the small long crossing bird to vanish within the barrel !!But I think with myself especially!! most distance shots are instinctive.

That’s really interesting and a different to what you are taught. ie. gun in your face etc. Since mounting low is supposed to make you shoot high . But you are hitting them so this advice must be somehow wrong. Would be nice to generate a discussion on this . Totally get your point on disappearing within the barrel. I shoot with a too high comb according to instructors but nothing obstructs.
