Day 23: Exhaustion, E-Bike Resilience, the Winter Cycling Grind of 30 Day Winter Cycling Challenge

It’s Day 23 of the Nebraska 30 Winter Cycling Challenge, and this Friday morning brings a mix of exhaustion and determination. After a grueling 7-day workweek culminating in the opening night of Waitress, I’m back on my e-bike, navigating the chilly 20°F weather and reflecting on the challenge so far.
From steep hills and fading bike lanes to the joys (and struggles) of riding in winter, this episode dives into the ups and downs of cycling through January. I share insights on e-bike performance in freezing temperatures, my thoughts on bike infrastructure, and why safety is the key to encouraging more riders.
