I lived in that house next to the crossing at the end of Platform 1 of Wressle (0:13) for a year in 2006! Nice village - I used to commute to Leeds, but because it’s a ‘dodgy station’ I had to cycle to Howden or Selby to get a train that would get me to work! Great to see it in your video :-) Oh - and yes, we had to travel out to do shopping: we did a big shop in Selby once a week!

Hi G, Loving this series of your energetic travels. Many years ago I had a friend who, because his Dad was Chief Booking Clerk at Leytonstone Underground, knew ALL of the LTU map off by heart. I could ask him any station and he would tell me how to get there correctly every time. 😀 You may have noticed there haven't been many comments from me until now, this is because I have had to do a massive update on my moby, especially here on KZbin. It's taken me all afternoon and evening to get this done, so now I'm back in the game...yay! Take care, Jon B.

Catching up on your wonderful Vlogs. Loved this one of dodgy stations. Wressle Castle used to be open at specific dates throughout the year. Access to the Castle (well what is left of it) was across the field in front of you in the video. Great stuff G, Ray xx

Gotta love visiting dodgy railway stations. But not all railway stations aren’t that dodgy. And the sad thing is that TransPennine Express are getting rid of the Class 68 Mk5 Nova 3 stocks. 😢

Fantastic vlog, G! Nice to see the 155s out and about in that area. Getting the 0459 train from anywhere takes a bit of commitment, so glad things turned out OK!

I love to see an old station building that's been well-preserved, and still has reminders of its railway past. Noticed there were more Tesco trolley park style waiting shelters! And a 3 hour wait? Dedication!

Oh wow, I wouldn't expect to see a Class 170 Turbostar there as I'm so used to seeing them on the Harrogate Loop. From my knowledge, I believe they do Sheffield-Scarborough via Hull as well as Leeds-York via Harrogate.

They do have a farm shop in Eastrington if that counts as a shop, but the nearest Tescos is in Goole 7 miles away , quite a walk if you are feeling fit 😊

What’s going on with your jacket at the minute G? I’ve noticed in a few of the more recent videos it’s getting a bit rattier, the fur bits are looking a bit worse for wear and there seems to be like a stain or a rip up the left sleeve a bit? Is it time to replace it soon? No offence meant be the way, Just a curious observation haha
