Day 3 - the road to Swakopmund

The first couple of days were a fraught affair in some ways. Wee were unfamiliar with the vehicle, its systems and things just seemed to take longer than we anticipated. After an overnight stop in the Cedarberg Mountains, we made a 'mad-dash' for the Namibian border. Timings had been complicated by the need for Covid testing at the time when we booked things. The border crossing took so long though, that we weren't able to make it to our booked campsite, We found the last room in a roadside hotel and felt a bit deflated. Had this whole thing been a mistake? Would we be up to the remainder of the Trip? Day three was a fresh start and after a good night's sleep, we just went for it.
