Day 3 - Trail Magic, Hiking and a Hostel - Awesome Day!

Today is day 3 and it started off raining, but we headed down the mountain for an awesome breakfast. Thank you Big Sky!
After another 4 miles into Woody Gap, we were picked up by our shuttle and taken to Above the Clouds Hostel.
Clean clothes, a hot shower and BBQ for dinner. So thankful for today!

Looks like a fabulous day! I’m so inspired by Big Sky! I want to help hikers too! It’s the least I can do to show my gratitude for all the inspiration you and other vlikers bring to those who are not able to get out there for one reason or another. Just moved to Virginia - only about 30 minutes from the AT near Snowden. So once I learn some logistics of how/where to get out there and leave trail magic or create trail magic… I will be on it! Thank you so much for showing us above the clouds! That’s definitely a hostel that I want to check out when my year comes to be brave:-) You are doing amazing and soon you will have your momentum and trail legs! Happy and safe, hiking my sister!

How exciting to be so close to the AT. Go take a short walk on the AT when the weather gets better and you will easily figure it out.

Do you recall how much ABOVE THE CLOUDS cost and how much the shuttle cost? Do they charge for laundry? 😮

I don’t remember the hostel cost but the shuttle from Woody Gap and laundry was included. Above the Clouds is awesome and worth every penny.
