Loving the videos, professor. They are getting me so excited about my own trip. Your video poses an interesting question. When it is lightening out and you are in the middle of nowhere, what do you do? I know enough to not get under a tree, but what did you do when there are no buildings around?

I honestly thought I could get to the next town before the storm hit. I thought about a goat house but decided to run down the hill. I came upon an RV/tent area and stood under the awning of the outhouse until the storm past. Always to weather aware.

Your photography is beautiful. Enjoying your videos. The inland route from Zarautz to Getaria is spectacular and there is no steep descent. The steep descents are as you enter Zumaia and for real into Deba. Buen Camino

The Del Norte is my goal for next year - 2023. I´m leaving in 9 days to do my first Camino and picked the Portuguese Coastal because I could only steal away for 2 weeks this year. Will watch all your videos now that I found you.

Thank you. When we did the Portuguese we did two days on the coat and then the rest on the central route. Enjoy.

I have watched your Camino del Norte and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope to do it next year for my 70th Birthday. A friend started and gave it up after getting to San Sebastián. I wanted to see how you found it. Buen Camino

The stairs after San Sebastian are tough, so I advise not over eating for lunch before starting the climb. Pace yourself. The first two weeks are hard but so well worth it. The views are amazing.
