You have really captured the true essence of the Camino from a pilgrim perspective. It has been lovely sharing your walk with your thoughts and observations. Your videos very much reflect my own experience and make me even more determined to repeat the experience this year. I look forward to watching your arrival in Santiago.

Almost there! You mention the excitement of the people just heading out and how, although you also have excitement, your head is in a different space. It is like the difference between the infatuation of new love and the deep love of a happily married couple who have moved beyond that.

Another beautiful morning on the Camino 😀 Turning shoes into flower pots, pretty (3:50-4:03) Technology has not yet learned how to capture odors into video 😂 That must have been an emotional moment (5:12-5:17) Interesting footage (6:00-6:12) Cute dogs(6:13-6:15) Having come with you so far (virtually of course) I understand how you feel🥲 (7:01- 9:10)

I see you getting emotional now but at this point we all do. In O Pedrouzo, I so wanted it to go on and on, I decided to stop next night in Monte do Gozo and make it last one more day. So glad to see you posting again. Hope that addiction has kicked in and you are planning to go back, I did 3 more times and would go back again in a heartbeat. Buen Camino

Yes, quite emotional! Even editing the videos, I have been reliving all the bittersweet feelings of my journey. I appreciate your patience and your support as I playback my Camino. And the addiction "kicked in" very early on while on The Way! I'm looking at the Norte in the next year or two--hoping the world opens up again and I can make my way over again very soon. Buen Camino!

Yes, it can be a distraction--but that's also part of the journey and part of the growing that you can still do. You can choose to let it eat away at you or you can accept it and grow. So many lessons learned that I've tried to apply to my life after the Camino! Thank you so much for following along and Buen Camino!

Thanks for sharing your experience. You are right about not judging pilgrims that start the last 100 km. Some people they have only 7 days and some has physical disability but like to experience the camino. I think each person is entitled to do their own camino in their own way and style at the end the most important thing is you learned the lesson, and find your way to live a meaningful life and closer to God.

Hey Rachelle, i am glad that you eventually uploaded your penultimate steps to Santiago. I imagine that the emotions are amplified for you as you are reliving the journey's end. One day I will do this same journey to Santiago and I will be grateful that you documented your Camino so that I will somewhat prepared to do mine. You actually have one of the better daily vlogs about the Camino as you don't shy away from the accommodations of the towns and cities you visit. Thank you and I look forward to the next one.

Rachell, so many days without knowing anything about your very experiential pilgrimage. I almost became worried about you. How happy I am to live with you again stage 37. Your feet walk towards Santiago, and your heart wants to reach Compostela, but inside you are slowing down as if wishing that this rich experience did not come to an end. This is how you make it live for those of us who follow you on the Camino. Don't keep us in suspense for as long as this time. Waiting for your happy and long-awaited arrival in Santiago. Buen Camino!.

Hi Rachelle! Just stopping by to thank you so much for your beautifully documented Camino. Just last week, a video or post "found" me about the Camino. From there I knew I had to do it. For several reasons but also in memory of my Dad who's background is from the Basque country. So long story short, in my focused research, I came across your packing video- thank you- which motivated me to start my list now in preparation of going sometime soon. Then, in an effort of getting more info, I watched a few videos of your journey, with no plan to watch all. But instead I had to binge watch your full series. I just finished #37 and like a Netflix series, almost freaked out because the last episode was missing. But going through the comments I'm seeing that you're just getting ready to post. So in a sense it was perfect timing that I just started your series now... lol. Again, great editing and documenting of this epic and beautiful journey. I can't wait to see the end of your journey and hopefully start mine some day soon! 🙏🇪🇸🚶♀️ P.S. Can you consider doing a follow up packing video on what you would take again vs what you wouldn't and what you would add. That perspective would be so helpful.

Thank you so much! And yes, I would say there is a journey that begins after you’ve experienced something like The Way. Perhaps not the same kind of “Camino”, but one nonetheless in which we take what we’ve learned and the spirit with which we walked back to our “real lives”.
