I loved your question and will make a dedicated video out of it in future. 1. Video Editing is a skill and to make a career out of it, You don't need any degree or certificate. So Try to aquire the art and skill through online or offline courses and practice more. 2. You need 4 Main skills apart from social media editing to succeed in this field. I made a video on that already. 4 years in 4 skills 3. You can learn film editing through online courses also but if you want to make a career in Film editing the approach is completely different from social media editing. You need to work as an intern in any studio to gain experience and build network first. 4. You have to understand 11 niches of video editing to understand the future posiblities. I made a video on that. There is no future in social media editing until you learn business and marketing sense too. P.S. I will make a complete towdmap guide for you in a dedicated video. May take little time though. Let me know if I able to answer your questions

I will suggest start hiring freelancers from LinkedIn or Facebook groups. You will get more affordable artist there. Start giving them test and check if they are passionate and skillful enough. Commission is depend on you, There is not fixed ideal ratio in industry but again if you are getting low paying client already then Start with having 25% cut for yourself but if you are getting enough money then you can hire on salary basis and that way you will get 80% comissions
