Day 4: Trekking From Jwara To Balu Ka Ghera On The Hampta Pass In The Himalayas

Join us as we continue our epic Hampta Pass trek with the challenging yet rewarding journey from Jwara to Balu Ka Ghera. This leg of the trek is 5 km and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the river as we gain altitude and get closer to the iconic pass. Experience the thrill of mountain climbing while surrounded by the pristine beauty of nature. Discover the hidden gems of this region as we share our experiences and stunning visuals. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay at Balu Ka Ghera and returned to Jwara as the campsite washed away in the flood. This would be our last day in moving towards the pass as it was currently unreachable.
The Hampta Pass is a 14,000-foot Himalayan marvel offering a stunning contrast. On one side, you'll find the lush Kullu Valley with its vibrant green meadows and blooming flowers. On the other, the stark Lahaul landscape unfolds with barren mountains and arid terrain. Crossing the pass is an exhilarating adventure, taking you through a 25-kilometer trek over six days. Experience the thrill of climbing over ledges as you approach the summit, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. It's a journey through two different worlds.

This is a very steep hiking route. The fog makes it hard to see and the stones are wet and slippery, but the views are spectacular. The waterfall is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing wonderful adventures ! Have a great weekend my friend 😊

Loved seeing all the water flowing. That's a shame that the one campsite got flooded. Is that a normal thing that happens or was this unusual weather? Everything looks such a vibrant green color along this hike.

Thank you, it was amazing! It's their monsoon season so rain is common. This was the biggest rain they'd had this year and much larger than normal.
