Hi Sylvia I have been following your videos and really appreciate you for sharing your experiences when I was young I did multiple S.T.P. Rides BP MS150 rides from Houston to Austin and independent stealth camp rides throughout Oregon and Washington State. I have been bicycling since I was a child and still enjoy it but after my time serving in the Navy is was injured during the war in the Gulf. My back never fully healed I painfully sold my road bikes because it was difficult to sit in that position. In 2017 I discovered recumbent trikes. I now ride a fat tad cxs with e assist 48 volt 20 amp lithium battery I was first inspired by your knowledge and motivated by your rides. I am back on the road again completed my first conquer the coast in Corpus Christi Texas my current home town and preparing for another Conquer the Coast on September 19, 2023. I am 60 and still love riding. Thank you for the inspiration and for motivating me to rise above my pain. Vincent

Hello "Again" Dayton, Ohio! Many years ago, I traveled from Lancaster County, Pa. to Dayton, Ohio, to participate as a referee in a National Judo Tournament. My "Best Man" from our wedding was participating and together, we drove and stayed in Dayton. I have always enjoyed riding my recumbent trike along waterways. So today's video installment was very enjoyable. I'm glad you had a nicer day and met up with the kind bicycle shop owners for a few days of relaxation. Myrtle was probably happy to have some much needed maintenance done. I think I saw her smiling! 😊 Looking forward to your next video. Keep on Triking!

This is why i use a Delta AirZound horn, it gives 50 @ 114db loud blast.. It gets attention. Only use it for these kind of situations.. And when the air canister gets low, just pump it back up with it's schrader valve..

The parks people here don’t have those zero turn machines thankfully, but they also seem to keep an eye out for riders and stop mowing until they are clear. Sometimes they close the trail where they are working which is no fun

No, not this year. Cycle Con scheduled the event too close to the recumbent retreat. There isn't enough travel time. Maybe next year.

I ws hoping that you were riding the Little Miami Bike Path from Milford, OH to Yellow Springs (through Xenia Station). That was the trail I rode years ago on a diamond frame and I loved it.

Hello Sylvia.. :). curious what the total weight of your Burley Cargo trailer (fully loaded) weighs..? Trying to get an idea of a reasonable amount of weight to tow on a tour? Thanks

The trailer with the cargo rack weighs close to 20 lbs empty. My gear (bike repair parts, clothes, toiletries, electronics, camping, cooking, small pantry of food) with 2 e-assist batteries and 2 chargers weighed around 70 lbs. I had no trouble carrying this amount of weight even over 8,000 ft climbs. Best of luck!

I'm confused. This video was posted July 16th yet there are comments " 2 months ago//". Not to mention you indicate it was "cold". I live near the trail and it was most definitely NOT cold. ???? When was this video actually produced? Ahhh..the video shows it was produced in April. Mystery solved!
