Thank you from Idaho Boris. As the hustle and bustle of 🎄 holiday preparations swarm around this little berg, I am drawn to the ocean to escape the madness. I believe your plan is a good one. It's a win-win however the outcome because you have met so many cool fans along the way, like me! You have taught me, the teacher, so much! I see sailing as much like life in general. We make plans but often the Universe dictates the unexpected. Even the best intentions get thwarted. Our response to this continual shifting havok is what defines us. You are fnding joy and peace in the challenges as they come...your attitude is a great example of how we could live our lives. Thank you fine sir! When this is over, your real victory is friendship. Please bring your lady and family and come visit Idaho. There's a cabin in the mountains overlooking a still, serene lake with a fire crackling and the sound of a soft guitar (thats me) playing. Every day is so different as your description of today’s events relate. 26 knots, a broach, no wind, small breeze. Phew! Makes me wonder what tomorrow will bring. Was für einen Kontrast zeigt diese Regatta in einer für mich lebensfeindlichen Umgebung, die geprägt ist von meterhohen Wellen bei Orkanstärke bis hin zur ruhigen See bei Flaute, von Reparaturen hoch am Mast bis hinunter zur Wasserlinie und all dies begleitet von den Emotionen der Teilnehmer. Glad your hydrogenerator is working well. 26 knots after a broach! Wow! Your boat is broachproof! Then someone turns the wind machine off. And you were visited by a whale, maybe good omen for the last part of the race. Thanks 😊 for such great pictures of moon and sun and pillowy water surface with wind shadows shifting. Great video showing your boat moving well though lolling along like a sailing dinghy. The winds will probably increase as you head further north. Thanks for the updates.

Wonderful & beautiful report ... you always see the glass fully full! ... the whales are in Hawai’i now too ... and in surfing we call that ocean surface condition “glassy” and is a highly favored condition as it feels so smooth to surf waves that are glassy ... may the winds have found your sails by now!
