I made this road trip with my dad around 20 years ago! Stopped at Fort Myers and ended in Key Largo, it’s beautiful 🥰

The Overseas Highway is a fabulous drive only downside for me is I hate crossing long bridges. Went down to Key West, lasted a few hours and left. Too many drunk tourists coming off the cruise ship. Headed back to Key Largo - stayed in the Marriott Key Largo bay, absolutely idyllic. Even took a trip out on the African Queen

It is a long drive if you don’t like long bridges! It does become party town after dark and there were no ships in the days we visited so did not experience that. Key Largo is beautiful, we found Key West was more touristy but we did love exploring it during the day, we loved the tropical plants everywhere.

Oh and we did consider a trip on the African Queen, was it worth it?

We did 4 nights at Bakers Cay in September……beautiful place. Did you see the champagne truck on the beach at 7.00 ? 😊

Oh yes we did! It was rose cava the night were there and we did enjoy a glass! That was a very nice surprise. I don’t think we vlogged that part however. It is a beautiful place, we’d revisit if we go back.

Probably my fav vt of yours you gotta love a road trip through fl right ,done the everglades & ft lauderdale but never been lower then that would have loved to have done the keys but prolly beyond me now .........
