Kuzuha scared of Kaede & faked his name by using Kaede's family name to intimidated other Nijisanji members, hence why Kaede called Kuzuha as her family

In the first VCR Kuzuha was thinking of names to name his character and chat suggested Higuchi. He thought it was hilarious and went with it, because of the fear the name Higuchi brings with it. When Kaede met Kuzuha there was like 10 seconds cut from this clip. But there were like a few seconds Kaede stared at Kuzuha not saying anything. It was actually Kaede trying to say hello, but since her voicechat was off it looked liked she was really angry at Kuzuha. When she turned her voicechat on she said "I have been hearing you have been using my name for 2 years". He then nervously said he's not been using it for bad things and using it was an honor. Then the rest of the clip plays out as you can see. They end up parting saying they are gonna raise the name of Higuchi to further heights and Astel said to Deron he was really glad they are part of the same gang.

She is pretty much the pioneer (gen 1) in Nijisanji. Her status is pretty much equal to Sora in Hololive (iirc she debuted just months after Sora) The difference being that she is the unhinged kind and quick to enter a brawl, and her intonations akin to a boss brings fear and respect to everyone within Niji. You basically don’t mess with Deron (her nickname) She is very talented though, so if you aren’t too bothered despite what happened within the company, try watch her.
