Just finished watching all 6 of your videos. We were also on the QM2 for this Crossing. It was our 4th on the QM2 since 2017 and we think it may have been the best. Of course, the first Crossing is always magical. You did a great job showing off this beautiful ocean liner and capturing the feel of this unique event. My wife and I made it into your videos TWICE! Thank you. More importantly, we recognized you from your beautiful champagne colored evening gown on the Red and Gold Gala Night. We both though it was the most beautiful gown of the evening. We love sailing on the QM2 and it always surprises us how different each Crossing is. But just as much, we love seeing the excitement, wonder and enjoyment in others as they rise to the occasion to get the most out of a Crossing on the QM2 as you and your family did. Thanks for sharing the cruise with us Crista, I thought I saw myself in the Commodore Lounge but on closer inspection it was someone else! There were two reasons we were late into New York, the medical emergency on the first night when we were awoken by the Captain on the public address and a technical issue on the fourth night. If you looked at the cruise map on the cabin TV you could see we sailed a racetrack pattern overnight whilst they fixed the issue. On the plus side it meant we didn’t have to get up too early to witness the arrival!

Oh! I was unaware of the technical issue! I, too, was happy to be sailing into NY during the daylight hours, although I hear that Lady Liberty all lit up in the wee hours of the morning is a sight to behold!

@@cristascupcakes I don't think any sailing into NY could be bad, unless it was foggy and you can't see anything! Anyway, Once again thanks for sharing these images from the cruise we both were on, I've lots of photos but no video.

Thank you for this series. You seem to have liked Sir Samuel's. When we were on QM2 in 2022 the venue was still selling Godiva chocolate products. We didn't get round to trying any but took our coffees, teas and hot chocolates in the Chart Room, which were all made in Sir Samuel's. We're looking forward to having some of those lovely cakes and pastries next year!

I didn’t even think of going into the Chart Room! I’ll do that next time. Yes, I had heard of the yummy chocolates but didn’t see much of it. Their pastries looked pretty good, though!

@@cristatravers Sorry I can't have been clear. Godiva was in Sir Samuel's, but has been removed. When it was there you paid extra for everything in Sir Samuel's. The pastries are now Cunard's own. We'll probably have tea/coffee (and cakes) in Sir Samuel's and just use Chart Room for aperitifs and nightcaps.

@@davidhouston3946 Yes, I heard Godiva was there at Sir Samuel's in someone else's vlog, but it didn't register to me that Godiva was no longer there. I guess I was just caught up in all the moments! I didn't try the pastries... I usually just have a coffee for breakfast. My travel companions seemed to like them, though.

I envy your trip on the QM2. Your filming technique is wonderful. I was just wondering how you film things so well without making it too obvious, especially in crowded rooms. I saw one guy give a bit of stare in the Queen's Room in the previous video. He can just get happy :) I don't know much about vlogging. Do you use a go pro camera, a cell phone or 360 camera? Continue to have fun and I am a new subscriber!

@@cristatravers Maybe I will experience QM2 sooner than I thought. I just saw a review comparing Cunard to flying transatlantic. I checked the British Airways fares and you can get a "coach +" ticket significantly cheaper than business class. The awesome thing is that you can get a Britannia Balcony room for just under the "coach +"
