Hi I’m from the UK and I randomly stumbled upon your video which I’m loving. You guys really are great to watch and funny. It made me giggle how you said “the Severn river” it’s just Severn like the number Severn lol! But great videos I’m enjoying watching them I’m glad you enjoyed the UK and the Cotswolds and everyone was welcoming to you both

@@Off.Day.Adventures There is a path called the Severn Way which is in some ways similar to the cotswalds way, it takes you from the mouth of the river Severn all the way up to the source at the peak of the Cambrian mountains in mid Wales, its roughly 210 miles long and includes pretty much the same path of the cotswalds path but along the coastline instead from Bristol to Gloucester and then onwards, to do it comfortably without doing 15 miles everyday it might take like 20 days which is just crazy. Though the views can be extremely pretty, especially during the later hours, there are some cool features to see as well, such as walking under the huge Prince of Wales Bridge which connects England and Wales.

Why not try the Ridgeway next? 87 miles on chalk upland. Starting at Avebury stone circle and finishing at Ivinghoe Beacon. A neolithic track that'll take you through, stone monuments, ancient barrows, Iron Age forts and chalk horses.

The 100 mile South Downs Way between Winchester and Eastbourne in Southern England, within the South Downs National Park, has a lot to commend itself for similar reasons, though I'd say I think the scenery is even more impressive, from quiet lanes and villages in the west, long downland hilltop walking in the central sections with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, to awesome coastal clifftop sections on the eastern leg.

The Ridgeway is next on our radar for next year 2024. We live in the Cotswolds and hike here weekly. I've especially wanted to do the Ridgway for its historical significance but also the neolithic and Iron Age sites.

I'm puzzled why some sections of this video (and others) have the image reversed so that the writing on your hat is like when you look in a mirror. It seems weird especially at 12:16 when someone's driving on the right hand side of the road but obviously isn't.

You seem to be getting your second wind now - despite what some peple say about the Cotswold Way being easy (presumably very fit and seasoned hikers) it looks quite hard work to me with a lot of very hilly sections. Though by comparison to some of our other long distance paths, such as the West Highland Way in Scotland, maybe it is. Have you any plans to do any other long distance paths in the UK in the future?

@@Off.Day.Adventures I'm loving your video series. I live locally and get 'in training' by taking a daily 20 minute walk up a hill close to me, up the Cotswold Escarpment as a measure of my fitness. It takes around 6 weeks daily walk and the difference from week 1 to week 6 is amazing. Week 1 I am stopping for 3 or 4 breathers. By Week 6 I am practically running up the hill with no stops. I'm 60 and have a desk job, 1 day off the daily walks for an 8 mile or so hike each Sunday. It is my gym and my therapy and stress relief. Keep going, you guys make great content.

Rubus fructicosus (blackberry) is not invasive in the UK, it's native to the UK. Does very well in Gloucestershire because it's so well watered but also sunny so just about perfect growing conditions for it.

@@Off.Day.Adventures Now that it is cooler you could day hike parts of the Florida Trial. I do not know much about it. If you come back to the UK you could section hike part of the South West Coast Path; cliff tops, beaches and coastal towns and villages. Going from beach to cliff top then down to the next beach is hard in places but you could choice the section.
