DAY 6 LIVING IN A CARAVAN - Preparing to Leave Victoria!

Welcome back to another episode! It’s finally time to prepare to leave Victoria and head to South Australia.
We all have never been to South Aus before so we are super excited!
Of course whilst focusing on making sure we’re okay to travel and pack up properly, our batteries were drained and Rocco was chased by emus 😂

@@thatfalzonfamily It gets kinda boring just checking the batteries all video. Maybe get the bow and arrow out, you had it in the last thumbnail and didn't use it. Just try and mix up the content a bit. I believe in this channel, it just needs a bit more creativity and effort. God bless🙏

The batteries are only for refrigeration and minimal (1) light. Showers? Water particularly potable water and refrigeration are going to be a big shock.

Luke. Your input in watts is per hour. And remember 100 watts is 8 amps. Ish. So after 1 hour at 100 watts you have only put 8 amps into your battery. You need 1100 watts wich is 88 amps per hour x 4 hrs. = 352 amps

Hey guys you could look at the ozanda or bull dog jack as an alternative to the black jack they are also both electric with manual backup. Haven’t used them myself yet but come across them while looking for something for our new van that getting built. Also on a side note how much water do you have on board as you guys always seem to be running low? Maybe you could look at a bladder as a backup but the issue will be your GCM weight

Just watching you to try to catch some crayfish, this is what we used to catch them from our dams, we had stockings and put the meat in them, the crayfish claws would get hooked up in the stocking. This was very successful. Keep up the great videos as enjoy watching them.

It takes a bit of time getting used to living off the grid. If you have a fridge that can work on gas, you should use that over night. While it will use up gas, it is better than ruining your batteries by letting them get to low too often. Is there room in the caravan to fit a wood stove for keeping you warm at night. Another suggestion is to fit more batteries, so you can store more energy for the no sun times. While the coffee maker is nice, it does create quite a load on your battery, as does the microwave. Try planning ahead for meals and use the gas oven to reheat things to save the battery. Welcome to the world of renewable energy. I think it gets its name because it disappears over night and you have to renew it when the sun comes up. You just have to remember you are no longer attached to a council supply of water and power, so you need to change the way you do things. I visited my son the other day and had my first shower in over twelve months. Nobody noticed

I wounder why my battery is going flat🤔. Maybe because you have running, 240v invertor, tv, star link, fridge, hotwater, all the lights on , coffee machine, diesel heater. Turn some stuff OFF. Especially the invertor. They flatten the battery quick.

Honestly guys enjoy your travelling. You really don't need to post a video of every day of your trip. Just do once a week and combine the weeks activities otherwise it gets a bit monotonous to watch and you guys need to enjoy your travels and not spend so much time on editing videos. TBH this is the first one I've watched since the day one video and I'm pretty sure I haven't really missed anything. The videos of your preparations leading up to travelling were awesome. Seriously people will get bored and not watch every episode. Have fun and enjoy the travels 🙂

Hey Luke Mate it pains me to see you trying to get water into the caravan via a funnel. Not sure if anybody has given you a good solution yet but as you’re running Ryobi products try this mate Ryobi 18V ONE+ Transfer Pump. One hose into the Jerry and the other one into the caravan water inlet.

Let me start by saying I love your videos. I generally find you both very entertaining and I’ll continue to watch you on your travels. However just a few little things to think about. First I understand your off grid….well sort of. In reality your about 10 mins from civilisation (water, food, fuel ect ect) so please enough of the we’re running out of batteries and water it’s a very easy fix. Second thing please stop filming yourselves stuffing your faces it’s not a great look. I do believe in you guys I really do. I just think you need to up the anti in regards to content.
