The major DNS records are nameservers, A records, Cname, MX record, AAAA record. Nameservers is used to link the domain to the hosting server address. A record links the domain name to an IPv4 address of the hosting server, MX record is for domain email system, Cname records refers to canonical name, where you can link your addon domains or Subdomain to your main domaiin.
