Today wasn't our day! It was cold and windy and the moisture just wasn't playing the game!! We started late and knocked off early!

We use them to kill any weed seeds we may have growing in the crops. Mainly rye grass is the target.

Pity they put the tank in the wrong spot😮. How long does it take to load Brian on average and does he have any way of knowing what weights he’s putting on. Love watching those axles of his drop. 😊

JH would it not be possible to calibrate a hand held moisture meter say once a day with the infratech and save a lot of driving back and forth ?

Maybe if we found the right one, but we have found that through out the day as the temperature changes there is to much variability with the handheld machines

@@tomsbrookfarm I guess you’re sailing pretty close to the wind at times, the joy of farming on the south coast. We farmed in the Avon Valley so we never really had daily moisture problems. 👍

Barley is around the high 2’s low 3’s and canola went 1.1t/ha. Haven’t got into the wheat yet

i believe it terminates weeds seed that may be in the crop. just a way to minimise weeds in the coming season

They are like a mill and they grind up any weed seeds as they come out the back of the harvester with the chaff and make them unviable. Essentially they are weed killers.
