I just wanted to say thank you. I am a Protestant and have been homeschooling my kids for the last 2 years. We were running out of solid devotions. Then I found this podcast. Kids are listening and being taught the bible by someone who engages them. They may see the Catholic argument and make other choices. God leads.

I've learned a lesson in this video. I am one who tends to "fix" others by offering unsolicited advice because I assume that someone is "broken". But in Job's case, good friends don't try to fix you; good friends listen and share in your pain and offer you comfort. Its a big difference that hits hard.

I agree . 🙏 that I remember this lesson when others suffering lives' trials. I so often default to fix it mode. 🙄

"Sometimes the people who love us the most understand us the least." I've been a fan of Father Mike for several years, and this isn't the first time that I've felt something cut straight through all the garbage in my life to pierce my heart, but dang. I feel this. Thank you for being a vessel for the Holy Spirit and a servant of the Lord.

Father this is my second time around. I am so thankful for you and BIY and CIY. The way you explain scripture and relate it to our lives is so comforting, awesome, and relevant. It makes Job, Abraham, and others feel like they went through the same things we go through today. It is like finding a quiet, refreshing place in this crazy world. Again, thank you and God bless you and all BIY and CIY,

Amen!God Rules-The Bible tells us God created Everything, including You and me, and He is in charge of Everything. (Genesis 1:1; Revelation 4:11; Colossians 1:16-17) We sinned-We all choose to disobey God. The Bible calls this sin. Sin separates us from God and deserves God’s punishment of death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23) God provided-God sent Jesus, the Perfect solution to our sin problem, to rescue us from the punishment we deserve. It’s something we, as sinners, could never earn on our own. Jesus alone saves us. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus gives-Jesus lived a Perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Because Jesus gave up His life for us, we can be welcomed into God’s family for Eternity. This is the Best 🎁 Gift Ever! (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18) We can respond to Jesus. A - Admit -- Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin. B - Believe -- Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin. C - Confess -- Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Thank you Father for giving us this tool that is critical for those of us who have attempted to 'read the Bible' many times. I am now looking forward to this every morning once I finish my breakfast. God bless this ministry. Last night a random group of Catholics prayed the rosary in the center of Lisbon, Portugal. Please pray for this once great Catholic country. We are witnessing many sacrilegious images against important saints (St. Anthony and the unborn) in the public square.

The change from Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah being in the Covenant with God teaches us a lot. We need to submit ourselves to God and not try to control things beyond our control. The theme relates to Job's part of the story and the Proverbs. The people who love us the most, know us the least and sometimes people in our lives don't want an answer but just our presence. These two are some important learnings from Job & friends. Thank you, Fr. Mike and Team Ascension! I'm praying for you. God bless you!

Proverbs 1 : 20 - 33 Wisdom Calls 20 - Listen ! Wisdom is calling out in the streets and marketplaces, 21 - calling loudly at the city gates and wherever people come together. 22 - " Foolish people ! How long do you want to be foolish? How long will you enjoy making fun of knowledge? Will you never learn? 23 - Listen when I reprimand you ; I will give you good advice and share my knowledge with you. 24 - I have been calling you, inviting you to come, but you would not listen. You paid no attention to me. 25 - You have ignored all my advice and have not been willing to let me correct you. 26 - So when you get into trouble, I will laugh at you. I will make fun of you when terror strikes ----- 27 - when it comes on you like a storm, bringing fierce winds of trouble, and you are in pain and misery. 28 - Then you will call for wisdom, but I will not answer. You may look for me everywhere, but you will not find me. 29 - You have never had any use for knowledge and have always refused to obey the Lord. 30 - You have never wanted my advice or paid any attention when I corrected you. 31 - So then, you will get what you deserve, and your actions will make you sick. 32 - Inexperienced people die because they reject wisdom. Stupid people are destroyed by their own lack of concern. 33 - But whoever listens to me will have security. He will be safe, with no reason to be afraid. " The Good News Bible Today's English Version (TEV). 📖🕯✝
