I’ve listened to podcast, watched other vloggers, and several audiobooks. But the way you just filmed and documented this part of the trail was excellent. Others did no justice to the way the trail actually is in this part. Great job mike

I'm just back from a 6-day backpack in the Olympics and watching this video had my jaw dropping! We hit elevation to go to alpine lakes and went through over 200 downed trees (some substantial), but that climb - ooofta! That looked rough (and a little bit fun!).

Great job capturing Mahoosuc Notch & Arm! It was wisdom to have another thru-hiker with you during that challenging section of trail in case of an accident, as you stated. Thanks for sharing your AT experiences with us.

Nice meeting you and thanks for taking the time to talk to us. As we left you the girl I was hiking with said “Damn, he has some nice legs.” Haha!! Now go drink some Maine beers!

I've been screen shoting THE MOST beautiful scenery I've ever seen last few days...!!! And being dog on tiered and ready for bed after a long day hike ... is REALLY the best feeling 😁

Yes. I know of the wall. I attempted 3 marathons in 2 months trying to qualify for Boston. I bonked in the third marathon at 14 miles. Just couldn’t go any further at pace. Listen to the body; it speaks the truth! 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️🇺🇸👊🏻

These Climbs were unbelievable.. Do not know how you knew where to go, the markers did not look too great. You did take some great videos today. And yes, better to listen to your body and stop when you need too. Getting closer to the end. How does it feel to be so close after 3 months of hiking? Be Strong, Be Safe. Thanks for taking us on this Journey.

Throughout this video, I found myself saying, "Oh my gosh".....at the intensity of the climbs that you had to do to get through this portion of the trail!!!! WOW! Good job!!

Great video today as usual. filming Maizee gave us a good perspective on how steep and difficult the notch is. Thanks for sharing your journey!

That was so incredible Colonel. Great job getting through that. By now everything else is much easier, although there are many good challenges left. Poor bird was acting like it was injured. I do hope your arm is feeling better by now. Please stay safe, happy trails, and thank you again for the journey. I'm praying for your safety as you continue.

Dear energiser, I really appreciate your modesty. To this day you do a great every-day-performance. For me, too, the Whites to South Maine were a huge physical and mental challenge. It takes some prayer and mental strength not to give up. I know you have that too (German genes?😊) A great feeling and great gratitude for it awaits you on Katahdin. Be with you, running bear

Wow.. I don't know HOW you did that!! Esp w your elbow, etc. But def wise to have other hiker going thru that maze w you.. Wonder if its "EASIER" to do it at the beginning, ie: North to South route?? Although i guess its easier to get injured early on..Super job though.. The views were stunning too. Take care and be careful! THX !

Quite a rugged climb up the Notch. I think I would've slept 12 hours too. Day 87 and you're quite far. Where did you start from? Takes about 6 months from Georgia to Maine. Enjoyed the video.

Oh my gosh ~~oh my gosh!! So glad you shared that experience with another hiker and not doing it alone. Your video really showed what you are doing. Hope your arm is better and also giving you body some much needed rest. By the time you read this to will probably be another 100 miles in. Aren't you ready for new shoes? My gosh I would think soooooo So close to the finish line!! Stay safe 😊😉

What a day 😳😁😎 . Three of us went through the Notch together and had a blast. Took it slow and relaxed goofing around. If there is one mile on the AT to slow the pace it's the Notch. I agree though at the end we were glad it was done because it really just becomes a pain in the a$$ more than anything. We spent 1 hour 50 minutes. Then the Arm 😂 we need to climb that ? 🙄😎 Fun fun
