Generate an Infinite Number of Procedural Worlds - Explore Pacific islands, reefs, and bottomless ocean trenches filled with detailed biomes!
No two worlds are the same - You can generate a completely new and randomized world at any time. You can also mix your own maps created with the map editor in with the procedurally created maps in the world for a more customized experience. If you feel like sharing, you can even share your world seed with other players.
* Please note, currently the generated world size is limited to 6.25km2 but the final world size will be much larger.
Dynamic Weather and Day-Night Cycle - Struggle to navigate stormy seas or enjoy basking with a coconut on a sunny afternoon.
Unique Physically-based Crafting System - Harvest resources to create equipment by combining them together in the physical world - no crafting slots!
Unique Physically-based Building System - Settle on an island and construct a shelter or venture the seas with your own built raft.
Detailed Survival Aspects and Interaction - Manage your vitals of hunger, thirst, blood, and health against the harshness of mother nature.
Random Loot and Collectables - Search sunken shipwrecks and islands for interesting and rare equipment.
Hunting and fishing - Spear small animals in the shallows or risk the depths with a spear gun in search of larger meals. Starve an island of resources or maintain and manage its growth.

Once it hits 3pm, the sun is no longer a problem and you're SPF will just automatically come back up again. Rations are great for when you're travelling, they give you both food and water. The bird nests/eggs are only on console, not PC. Great series, thanks. 🙃

You can plant yucca fruit in a plot aswell to get a steady supply of fibrous material, I recommend a water still next to your plots aswell

Pointless thing to do, as you now only get 6 leaves per a tree, a lot of resources and time for those 6 leaves which respawn anyway.

@@MrFroudinho not pointless because all my fibrous is collected in one place rather than running round the island collecting saplings 🤷🏼‍♂️ as for resources…it rains every 24-48 hours in game…I never water my plots…like ever…

Based on Paul's stories, he is a survivalist. As such, he studied orienteering. Here is a little of what he knows: Do the sun and moon rise and set in the same spot each day? if so, you are near the equator, the rise is due east, and the set is due west. Since he is sailing into the setting moon (due west) to return home, the new island directly behind him is going to be due east of his home.

To kill the large crabs, wait until they are facing away from you, they can't see behind themselves at all, walk up with your axe and whack them, they will run away from you, chase and continue axe whacking until they die. Spears and arrows don't really do much damage to them. They also can't climb so if they surprise you run up onto a rock or shrub and they usually can't reach you, so you can axe whack them from there. They don't go in the water either, so that's a way to give them the slip. Then you can wait until they give up, start walking away and you can axe whack them from behind.

Try placing a forward sail to the right of the tiller and a reverse sail on the left, allowing access to both sails and the anchor from one position. (handy when backing away from shore and wrecks)

24:05 Those yellow bars on the ship wreaks are grab bars. If you jump right there your character will automatically grab it and hoist themselves up.

You can use a refine axe until 1% durability but still make a plank station with it . If u break the station the axe will be 100% again 😮😮

21:11 I think if you go down far enough and out from shore enough, you can find a Great White... at least that's how it was back in the old days, I don't know if it's still there. A shame you lost the spear! At least you can make more! I'd like to think Dicky took it to his home. :)

You can eat aloe plants which fills your spf bar instantly

If you make a pile of empty coconut drinks they will refill automatically. I don't know if this is on a timer or if it happens after a rain, or if it's just a bug, but its a good renewable source of water in the game.

The plank scrap and corrugated hold the same amount of water and it hold 2 times more than the stick one

1:28 You're probably thinking of sprouted potatoes, IRL. That's different than rotten potatoes. Which smell absolutely HORRID, btw...and tend to be liquified into a horrible, stinky, awful, mush...YUCK! (Believe me, I used to work as a grocery bagger, and I could tell when a bag of potatoes had a rotten one, just by the smell. They REEK! One of the worst things I've ever smelled.) Maybe you can still plant them though...I dunno. I wouldn't want to handle them though, if they're truly rotten.

Take the husk of 10 coconut and make a stack then you can take 2 from the stack and drink then put them back in the stack aka infinite water 😊

Keep some cheap spears on island for bats...lol Im pretty sure them fiberus leaves are the only thing that respawns. Thats what sucks about this game. PS this game really needs a map system. The devs have never said they was gonna add one and now that its out in 1.0 it might not ever come.

Solo Ark isn't great tho, it's definitely a game that's largely geared towards multiplayer. Paul's not the kind of person to play with randoms, at least for his channel. Of course he could play with friends but scheduling can be absolute pain. It's a bit like Unturned really, fun game in small doses solo but really comes alive in multiplayer
