As a former GameStop employee, I will just throw a couple of things out there. I'll start by just saying this: this is all fake. Now, while GameStop may throw some things out, these items never amount to anything other than empty cardboard boxes and old advertisement posters. Sometimes cutouts like the large lifesize NBA players or WWE wrestlers although my store, like many, give these items out to fans of the franchise. When something does not work, it does not matter how small or large (price and/or size), an employee is to mark it as defective, not only this, but it goes into a bin or area in the back of the store where then management boxes it up and sends it to warehouse. GameStop does NOT throw away merchandise into their store dumpsters as it is still in the system regardless of condition. I cannot speak for any other company's policies, but I can say that GameStop just does not do this. This guy is lying. This being said, sometimes EMPTY cases are thrown out. That's really all though.

@@wyattcooper3890 There is a slight chance, but honestly, I have no bid in this argument. I'm just stating what I know from years of experience with this company. They just don't throw this stuff out. When they do, it's because a customer gave it to them and they didn't want it. That is the ONLY time you might see something in the dumpster that is worth anything. And if that is the case, it's usually some game that cost less than the $0.03 minimum trade-in value that Gamestop won't accept. This just isn't likely, not only that, it's reasonably fair to assume that he would fake this. Maybe he did it and realized there was a market of people that liked the video concept and continued to watch, providing him income. Doesn't make it any more real.
