Ms BeBop Betty Carter RIP ❤ is my favorite female jazz vocalist 🎤 in the early 80's I had a chance to speak with her for about 5 minutes before her show in Harlem NY

Her singing is so sublime and calm that only after that great piano solo that you realize that’s it’s a live concert recording. Bravo to the band for meshing in perfectly with her phrasing, never getting in her way but letting her voice float over it.
