Ft Hood!!! That was my first duty station in the army!!! HOO-RAH!!! I was assigned to 1st Cav Div-HHC-2-8 Cav!! GET SOME!!! LOL.Ft Hood has new everything,post exchange-I believe Warrior Way was expanded.I also did 2 train-ups at Ft Hood for deployment to Iraq(National Guard)this was in 2005 when the real war was going on.I was in an infantry unit on my first deployment,did a total of 4 tours to Iraq.How long are you guys gonna be at Hood???

I’m looking into enlisting as a 68x… how long is your term? They’re offering me 2 years or I can do 4 years with airborne.

Mine is 4 years… definitely take the 2!! If you like the army you can always reenlist! Don’t confine yourself for 4 years just because of a particular assignment. So many people wish we had the option for 2. I guarantee you, you can always go Airborne. They push us to go Airborne and Air Assault all the time here Fort Bragg. When you reenlist, you can always ask to be stationed at Fort Bragg. (Home of the Airborne)
