@zachsdickDOTmpg2 жыл бұрын
I’d say this video is exactly the life of a 16 year old dropout. She literally admits to doing nothing all day. The highlights of her day were taking a shower and eating an avocado. Stay in school and maybe get a job that affords you more luxury than a bus ride and sushi. There’s never a reason to drop out of high school unless you’re being bullied or become a celebrity. At this age most kids (not just dropouts) aren’t seeing the big picture that everything you do in life is leading up to having a healthy home life and a secure retirement. Without a basic education you’re setting both of those back years, decades or a whole lifetime.

I had to do a foundation year just to get into uni at 20 years old, you can imagine how hard it was for me adjusting to Uni after being out of school for 4 years. And uni isn’t like high school, your grades rely on your own efforts to retain vast amounts of information. So to reiterate, don’t drop out. Enjoy high school and everything that comes with it because being on your own is so hard. I find myself missing being in high school sometimes as I never had to find a way to do a full day of uni, clean my house, do a food shop AND pick up my kids from kindy before 6pm. Please just get through high school and life will be that tiny bit easier. You got this!!!

In case anyone was wondering the scottish schooling system works as 7 years of primary school then 6 years of secondary, but in the 4th year (16) you are allowed to leave and go to college full time or do a job. If you decide to stay on you do highers then advanced highers. After that its college uni or job. I know this because i live in scotland and im 16, i believe in england its a bit different though, oh and education is free including uni and college
@MisterDutch93 Жыл бұрын

hi, english 16 year old here, can confirm it is different down here! in year 11 (15-16) you sit your GCSEs and from there you have 3 choices: • education until 18 (A levels, or possible GCSE retakes) - it is free and you would go to a sixth form/college to complete 3+ A levels typically • apprenticeship - typically level 3 • full time job you must take your A levels - typically - to get into university and we have to pay tuition sadly down here. luckily student debt isn’t that bad, you pay off a tiny bit of it every month if you meet a certain salary threshold and it gets wiped off 20 years after your degree anyway :) so jealous of the scots tbh! i want free uni 😭

She has her hs diploma, she dropped out of college. College isn’t required and in the UK, their college is not the same as college in the USA. They finish highschool at 15-16 y/o and college is from then until 18. So like junior and senior year of highschool for the USA is actually college years 1&2 in the UK. Then the would go on to University, if they choose to. Where as in the US, you complete hs at 18 (or a different age depending on when you started school) and then you can move on to a college or university.

Living off ur parents money or other peoples money is shameful when you get to a certain age u need to be able to work for ur own money and with that u can do what u want with. Social media isn’t a good thing to fall back on. Not only this, but you don’t want to end up throwing a lot of education away because u stupidly watched a silly girl drop out at 16. Once the generation who support her grow up she will notice a massive decline in her views. Media is hard. So remember this before u think of dropping out. At 15 my dad kicked me out and I was couch surfing for the next year, doubling up on credits and taking night school classes so I could graduate high school at 16. Social media stardom is a fickle thing, influencers have a short lifespan on the internet. In 5 years this job wont be supporting you like it is now and you'll find yourself pressed to find work with no high school diploma. It's a shame you dropped out so young. Wishing you the best

Edit-78% of pro athletes go broke after retirement Edit- A lot of people are arguing with me that athletes make a lot of money, and it just isn't true for the majority. Yes if you are lebron James you've made it for life but the majority of Athletes aren't even making the NBA, Premier leauge, or NHL, and the live on average salaries that only last as long as their body can.
