Hi Tanvi, I hope you see this comment, Infact I pray that you see this, I live in Canada, its been 10 years. This is a lonley place for an Indian to live, I know I am generalizing, but I dont regret saying this. I have malayalee friends of my age, our kids and husbanfs are friends too, still I feel like I have no one genuine friend like I used to have back home. If you are feeling low and sad about living here, stay back home. Find youself a place, find a job, create your own world with Lian. Keep in touch with your dear and near ones, ofcourse maintain boundaries so that you and them stay warm and close always. Enjoy our naadu, enjoy your grandparents, cousins. Dont ever come back if you dont like it here. I am sure Lian will love having loved ones closer.

Please don't influence based on your experience. Tanvi is a strong person and because she is strong, she was able to face all the challenges in a remote community in Canada. But there are pros and cons o everything. When in Canada she is able to learn tto be strong with lesss judgement especially she doesn't get involved in the wandering eyes of malayalee. Many are still living the same mentality when they immigrated with those values, but if you mix witth different cultures you can meet better open minded people and there is value in multiculturalism. In Kerala not matter how modern it gets those old values toward single women are there especially if a single parent. You can probably earn more money in Canada but costs are also there. Family can be more open and loving but it is because you are someone from Canada with resources but if those resources are not there and they see you on a day to day basis, I am not sure if the family and friends will be the same. There is a freedom of being abroad that you will never get living in Kerala, unless you are wealthy enough and quite independent minded. So let her choose, what is best for her and LIan who can benefit from Canadian life which is more open minded and no as resrictive.

There is pros and cons like any country.. we cannot expect it to be like kerala.. we have all our family, relatives everyone. Going to a new country has its own struggles.. once we overcome that life will be different but will never be the same as kerala. And Tanvis situation is different.. coming here pregnant and no family and no relatives is really a courage. Very very brave to have overcome it. If you decide to live here going back to kerala will never happen because when the kid grow up he will never want to go back. All the best .. Let God guide you to make the right choice. ❤ Lian might feel lonely after all this when he come back to Canada

Tanvi if you are reading i hope you take it as a positive way. Don' t encourage Lian when he make fun of Ammmumma ' s walking & health issues. I know he is child, but when you correct him now itself he will learn. Tomorrow when he grows he will realise it is not okay to talk that way. Other way old age period is very sensitive period, they have babies mindset & stubborness. When people make fun of their actions infront of others they get hurt. I am saying it because i have my grandma in house. They act like babies, take silly things very seriously sometimes we don' t even imagine they will think this way when we talk or do things for them.
