This school is a scam. Parents saw the name UCT and ran to the door. St. Stithians shut down their online school with Valenture school for a reason.

@@tipsyipsy I honestly think it's wrong to provide an online school to high school kids. There's a huge difference between homeschooling and online learning and I don't think these people explained this to parents nor do the parents understand what they are getting their kids into. You can't expect a kid in high school to learn as if they are at UNISA, that's exactly what UCT online high school is it's like distancing learning. Kids need supervision and guidance instead of one online lesson and expecting them to go through the content on their own and when they don't understand certain things and need help the turnaround time to help them is bad and they end up falling behind which is why these kids get depressed. It's simple if you want your kid to be homeschooled apply with the department of education and then hire a tutor to teach your kid and help him/her with their portfolio of evidence and you mind end up spending the same cash you spend with that UCTOHS. That's my opinion.
