I’ work as Business System Analyst for a healthcare organization!! Best job I’ve ever and best boss ever!!. When you have a boss that can give you five days off without using your PTO, willing to mentor you and help you. You know that’s the kind of boss you want to work with for a very long time. Bosses like that are not very common, we need more of them like that in every organizations.

@sandranowak42042 жыл бұрын
@@y_m_2025 Thank You so much! I think it really depends on where You live. I am from Poland and last year I got my bachelor degree in spatial management 😅. After that i decided to educate myself to become BA. This fall I am going to start Master's in Computer Science. At the moment as my 'self education' I am doing the Google DA Certificate. My new work offers me a lot of courses and training in the first 3 months. Well see, but to get the job I had to do Gmat test and 2 hour long test with the recruiter, and the interview with manager of the company. i think it is definitely worth it to study on Your own as much as You can! Wish You all the best♥

I am from Southeast Asia. We often look at our Northeast Asian neighbors (CN, JP, KR, TW) in awe because of their high GDP per capita and rapid economic progress. Throughout my life, I've also been in situations where I am baffled by their knowledge gaps in simple things - case in point: cosine similarity in this video. I'm sure all of us would have learned about this in middle school or something (not really a college-level concept). Not sure what to say really, perhaps rote learning is the cause.

Any experience to share regarding this would be appreciated. Cheers!

thank you! it honestly depends on your company - I know every company has different stances & policies in place. I'd recommend checking up on that and at the end of the day it's up to you if you want to have that conversation with your manager, but I'd say definitely be prepared that anything that goes on the internet there are high chances people from work will eventually see haha!

I'm a Business Systems Analyst and just happened to stumble into this role. I actually hate the job. Not a fan of all the meetings required, business knowledge, and leading projects. I'm really not a people person, which the job requires, so I get the biggest imposter syndrome from this job. Don't got much else for myself since I haven't stayed in a role long enough to build a proper skillset. Watching your videos are kinda slowly making me like the job more, but still far from seeing how green my side of the grass really is.

thanks for sharing and for being transparent! I am an introvert, so when i started the role i used to hate doing presentations, leading proj, talking to ppl too😅 what changed for me was viewing my stakeholders as “my peers” vs my “higher ups”! i would also think of my work as “im helping them” vs. “im serving them”. id also try to have small talks/get to know my stakeholders too whether in 1:1 or on slack. before i knew it they all became my work friends and made work so much more enjoyable. obviously i dont know much about your situation, but YOU GOT THIS!

Please Do you have any idea of the job market is in the UK for international students going for Business Analysis
@LillianChiu1012 жыл бұрын
thank you and love that you're doing your masters in Biz Analytics!! I don't have much insight on the UK market specifically, but for the US, most BA i know are either in tech (i.e Strategy related teams are always looking for Biz Intelligence/Biz Analyst roles with your background), or finance (quantitative analyst), or consulting (BA/BI roles). pay is general high given the analytics component to the role, and career trajectory wise it does open alot of opportunities: u can either become a data scientist if you want to lean into data, or stay and become a business manager leaning into the strategy&ops side of things, or even product manager more on the product dev side since you'd have the core analytical + business skills. I think at the end of the day it depends on what industry/product you feel most passionate about, but i know that you will be in a good place!!
