Thank you for these videos! I started watching you about 3 months ago when I started my store (initially I just wanted to sell the bare minimum to fund my own personal 3D printed projects) and now I'm close to 100 sales! I'm in a completely different niche, but my girlfriend and I love your content and the little nuggets of valuable information you drop.

Hello Macy, thank you very much for sharing your day-to-day with us! Just got a question: I've been trying to find that mini astronaut for a while, can you please share the link to it?

You're absolutely adorable Macy....print that face over and over with confidence! Seriously, most ppl are probably self conscience about their appearance. I sure as heck ain't printing MY face! LOL When you are doing different projects on different printers, do you do it all in one session of Studio? I have been opening 2, 1 for each printer...mostly because I am often printing something for the 1st time and I usually wait until I see if it worked right before I save the 3mf. So I start one thing (not saved yet) but I want to print something else on the other one so instead of using 'new project' which wipes out the existing one, I open another Studio and open it there. I suppose not saving my projects, even in the 'testing' phase could bite me in the butt if I lose power or something.

I think every time you put out a video, a couple more printers have snuck into the available nooks and crannies of your workspace. You're going to need to dig a sub-basement soon! Do you track your filament inventory in any formal way, or do you just eyeball what you've got on the wall to know when you need to order more?
@matload44412 сағат бұрын
Merry christmas what filament brand do you use the most?
@macymakes3d11 сағат бұрын
Overture is my go to for products but I'm starting to use more Elegoo for fun prints since it's so cheap.

Great video, happy holidays. What filament are the red spools you showed.
@macymakes3d16 сағат бұрын
I mostly use Overture red, I show that spool at one point I think. And the red for the Christmas boxes is sunlu.
@MichaelThompson7715 сағат бұрын
At 17:10 you show un packing of some spools that are red colored with black and blue colored filament. Thanks for the response

Oh! That's carbon fiber PETG from Atomic Filament.

Macy, Sorry if you shared this in the past and I just missed it, but could you tell me the brand/model of shelving you are using? I bought one I thought would be good and it was too flimsy and wobbled all over the place. The one you have seems pretty sturdy and has some stabilizing crossbars. Did you have to anchor it into the wall, or is it stable enough on its own? Thanks.
@macymakes3d9 сағат бұрын
They’re the kobalt shelves from Lowe’s. They still shake a little but doesn’t affect printing. They would probably benefit from being mounted to the wall but mine aren’t.

I'm curious - do you end up doing anything more with the swap parts, or is the time investment to trouble shoot further just too high when you're looking at it from a business perspective?

These! amzn.to/3BAeEd4 It shows red in the picture for the 108 option, but I bought 108 of the white ones.

After you remove a plate/print from the Bamboo and re insert the build plate do you have to re level? You have not shown that. It seems I have to re level after every print on my Creality Ender 3 s1 pro.
@macymakes3d16 сағат бұрын
The bambu printers automatically level when you send the print. It's built into their g-code.

@@macymakes3d Thank you. Now I really want one.

Why do you suppose the extruder gears get clogged up? I have 4000 hours on my three printers and I’ve never had a clogged extruder gear. Do you think it’s because of the brand of the filament or do you think it’s because you have such high volume?
@macymakes3d15 сағат бұрын
Most of my clogs come from silk filaments. I don't use them often, but it seems they clog more frequently than normal PLAs.
@stevendunn26416 сағат бұрын
I'm newish to 3D printing. But can't you make a medium size model by just scaling up a small model or vise versa. Do I need one designed to be the printed size. Does that give you better quality or some other advantage?
@macymakes3d16 сағат бұрын
Some of the articulated models don't work well if you scale them, and they can take a really long time to print if there are lots of color changes.
